First Time Caller....Love the Show. My wife and I went Saturday night and at first thought it was closed. Going up the hill is pretty dark but we saw the lights and the valet parking sign... we are good.

Went in and the bar was crowded and the restaurant was as well. Jess the bartender said it would be a few moments. We looked around, and decided to sit at the high back tables in the bar.

After taking our seat and after about 5 minutes we realized that Jess was not only working the bar, she was tending the four high tops which were all full now.

We were patient and waited for her arrival. Nothing like someone who is working like a dog, coming to your table with a big smile, and acting like this is no big deal.

After apologizing for her tardiness, she gave us menus, took our drink orders and away we went.

No Problems... service from there on was nothing less than above expectations. Salads, appetizers and the main course.... all Fantastic.

The food was hot, good size and very good. I would recommend to anyone.

slightly exaggerated reviews. We had dined at Antonini's many times in the past. There is definately a difference from the past ownership but I found the other unfavorable reviews written here are slightly exaggerated. Our server, Sharon was very attentive even turning up the lights and air conditioning a little when requested. Our food from start to finish including soup and salad course was very good.

It hink the only problem is that Antonini's is having an identity crisis. The potential is still there for the Antonini's we all knew and loved but the upscale atmosphere is definately diminished upon entrance because of the poker machines.

Two things need to be done.....Antonini's ditch the poker machines! Customers need to give it another chance.

Great Food, great service. I saw a few negative comments and had to respond. My wife and I have eaten there at least 12-15 times over the last year or so. I've never had a bad meal. The food has always been well prepared and deliciously tasting and the service has always been great . Best salad I have ever had has been here. Other times we will just sit at the bar and enjoy an appetizer and a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. A patio outside has just been added, a nice place to enjoy a fine cigar. Give this place a try as I think you will enjoy.

A Fantastic Experience!!!. The reason that I considered going to eat here was because Sputzy & Jeremy were playing there,(I remember Sputzy from Modern Man &Gigalo).I read the other reviews about this restaurant and almost didn't go.What a loss this would have been!Everything about this place was great, the food, the service,Sputzy, and the owner even introduced himself to make sure that everything was good. i was soo satisfied that I had to express my gratitude for deciding to go here even after reading the negative reviews.Fantastic Place,Thanks Rocco,(the owner)!!!

Just bad atmosphere, service and food. I went to this place last Saturday with my famiy and I could not have been more dispappionted.

We started with a drink at the bar. The bartender was rude and spent half her time on her phone, probably texting. There were some unsavory characters sitting next to us and one of them actually hit on my 20 year old sister. He must have been 50. It was very incomfortable and we almot left then.

I wish we would have.

The server was friendly and I felt bad for her because the same guys at the bar kept stopping her, probably to execute the same creepy flirting.

The lettuce was partially brown, the bread was stale, and my pasta dish was plain and could have been made at home for 1/5 the price.

I would never go back to this inconveniently-located Italian restaurant and I'm sorry I subjected my family to it.

A great place for special occasions. My cousin Rocco owns the restaraunt! I really think this place is nice. They have two fabulous boothswith a roof over them, they also have a fireplace. I recomend this place only for something special. It is a fancy restaraunt. Unlike other food places, there food is homemade and not heated up or baked! HOMEMADE! Please try it out for yourself!

What happened. I previously talked-up this restaurant to my friends, and was totally embarrassed when everything I said about the service, atmosphere and food was WRONG. Now it appears to be a dive bar instead of a classy restaurant. I don't recommend it, unless you want to come out smelling of smoke.

Has really gone downhill. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Pgh. Unfortunately, it seems as though the restaurant is an afterthought to their bar business. The dining area was freezing, you could smell cigar/cigarette smoke, and the waitress was a bartender just checking in very occasionally. Not all menu items were available. Food was mediocre--not nearly as good as it used to be. We won't go back as there are many restaurants that are much better than this in Pittsburgh.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We were invited to a Pittsburgh Riverhounds meet and greet event to be held at Antonini's Restaurant. The event was to begin at 7:30. My family entered the restaurant as players were entering. We sat at a corner table and ordered 4 sprites. When asked if we wanted menus, we replied no. The manager promptly approached our table and said "I am trying to run a business, and you are taking up a table. People are standing" (there was one woman standing chatting to the people seated behind us. There was at least one empty chair at that table.) and there are more coming in. It is a business." VERY rude management. We were forced to leave without taking part in the meet and greet. Manager was rude enough to talk about my family while I was waiting to pay for our drinks.

Excellent food & Atmosphere. I was surprised to see that Antonini's was only reviewed by 2 others and that the reviews were less than flattering. My husband and I love this restaurant. We save it for special occasions like our anniversary or a birthday. I will agree that the service is a little slow at times (but not always) but when we dine here we're not in a big hurry to eat and run so it's not a problem. We've never dined here with a group so I've never been part of that experience. I would encourage people to try Antonini's. The entrees are interesting and prepared well. The service may appear to be slow because the food is not pre-made and microwaved when you order. The waiters are polite. They carry a nice assortment of wines. I'm giving Antonini's 4.5 stars for our dining experience.
