worst new year's eve ever! – Went to eat here for the first time on New Year's Eve 2011 after visiting my grandson who was in the hospital. Yes, we were in blue jeans and t-shirts.

Service was sporadic. My mother had to ask 3 times for a refill of her water glass before she got it filled. She was served ginger ale which she didn't order. I had the sea bass special, which could have been awesome if it had been HOT! My oldest grandson and son-in-law, who grew up on Greek food, both got sick from eating the flaming cheese.

Had driven by this place many times thinking about eating here. Now that we have experienced it, we now know we won't be back in the future.

Overpriced and not worth the trouble.

New owners never go there. – I made reservations for 10 people to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday on Dec 4th, 2009. The food at Yannis was good but the service not so great.

About 9:30pm, the hostess came to our table and asked us to leave because our table was reserved to someone else. (That night they had a Greek entertainment.)

We didn’t have time to finish our coffee and we had to get up and go so that the tables could be rearranged for r the next patrons.

I believe the way we were treated was very unprofessional.

I will NEVER go to Yanni’s restaurant again and I will NEVER recommend Yanni’s to anyone.

I have a suggestion for the owner (its clear has no clue how to run a business) make a decision if you want to run Yanni’s as a restaurant or a nightclub and stick with one.

Yanni's Best Greek restaurant Arlington Heights,Schaumburg – This is a very nice upscale Greek restaurant. They have a daily selection of fresh seafood, steaks and all the favorite Greek dishes. I've never been disappointed, from the delicious fresh bread to the Taramosalata to any entree's I've had- Seafood & Greek dishes mostly. Yanni's is a nice spot for a business lunch with great ambience-like a short get away to the Greek Islands. The service is very good! The outside entrance is gorgeous with a majestic fountain & flora that wraps around the building, providing a lovely view from a window seat. I recomend taking a date to Yanni's for a nice dinner or business lunch. You will love the food, service and ambience

Fabulous restaurant! – We went to Yanni's last night and had one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed! The food was amazing! The waiter made wonderful recommendations and was attentive and thoughtful. The room was beautiful. It was the best meal we have had in years! Highly recommended.

Excellent time in suburbian "Greek Town" – We have dined all over the city and suburbs. We try to "dine" at least twice a month. By "dine" I mean, cocktails, apps, wine, entree, after dinner drinks, coffee...the whole bit. In our younger years, we put ourselves through college being servers. I would bet some of the reviewers (especially ones that complain after being with a large party) have never been servers. Sometimes coffee does take more than 10 minutes to get when you are putting in a dessert order, taking out entrees and tending to other people. Every time someone asks for anything, be it an extra plate, or a lemon, that is another trip to the kitchen taking time away from getting what another person needs. In a large party, one half of the table usually doesn't know what the other half is doing and causes much confusion and frustration for your server. Cocktails should be ordered all at once. Once those are delivered, an appetizer order can be taken. If half the party orders drinks and expects apps to be taken, but the other half of the party is now ready to order drinks, it throws the whole night off and the server is to blame. The fact that one would give $0 tip is ridiculous. That server just worked an entire night for free and now won't be able to pay a bill. If there is an issue so horrible as to not tip your waiter anything, it should be taken up with the manager. Perhaps the server knew you would be stingy and stood over your shoulder to try to squeeze a little humanity out of you. Yanni's is an excellent restaurant with wonderful food and great service. We have never been rushed or slighted. You get what you give.

Worst customer service – I went to YANI'S for dinner last night and was disappointed. Very Very Rude Service and my husband got the stomach flu from the food. I would not recommend anyone to spend high class$$$$ and get the crapy service and food it's a complete rip off.

Worst Dining Experience – Went there last weekend for a birthday dinner, and it was horrible all the way around, the only thing that made it bearable was the food was decent. Our waiter was so rude, it was shocking. Got angry at the smallest requests, and the only reason we made requests was because he never came around to provide us anything but our orders, which some were wrong anyway. Yet he had the nerve to stand right next to us and watch what we were writing for the tip on the check. We brought his behavior to the attention to the manager, and he couldn't even offer an apology and could only promise we won't have the same server again if we come back. Very arrogant, rude and miserable people. Will never dine there again.

Most Horrible place EVER! – We went as a family for a birthday and it was the worst experience we have ever had. Don't EVER ask for seperate checks because it makes the wait staff extreamly angry! After that we never got refills on our drinks, coffee took over 10 minutes before it was served and then you could tell it was the end of it it was so terrible. Food was okay but nothing special. You can get 10 times better in Greek town. To top it off the waiter stood behind us to watch what kind of tip he got. He should have not been surprised to see that everyone gave him zero! Don't waste your money or your time at this place!!!!

Great food and even better service – We had a very good experience at Yannis last week. Our servers name was Angelo. The grilled octapus was excellent and so was the braised lamb. Angelo was very courteous and really made our dining experience memorable by not rushing us and by his recommendations. We will definitely be back.
