Terrible Place, Terrible food, terrible service, and terrible attitude. If you like a smelly, grimy, college bar with loud, boisterous patrons and obnoxious waitstaff, you'll fit right in here. But if you want a moderately pleasant atmosphere with somewhat decent bar fare, this is NOT your place. I realize that college bars are NOT white table cloth kinds of places, but I'm surprised that the Clemson PD hasn't at LEAST check a few ID's here. The rowdiest patrons look to be about 15 years old!
I ventured here during a trek to a Clemson football game when they were playing my Alma Mater. Inclement weather prompted me to to try a local establishment instead of braving the weather for tailgating. BAD mistake. I should have gone to McDonald's.
The food had a rancid taste, and the whole place smelled of urine. When I went to the restroom, I noticed that one of the waitstaff dried their hands after using the urinal, but didn't wash them, so I can only assume what was on his hands.
Terrible food, dirty. Worst experience. Better places to eat in Clemson.
Not much to say other than bad overpriced food and bad slow service. I will never go back nor ever recommend this place to anyone.
Backstreets is my go to place when I am back in South Carolina. The food is awesome - the wings are hands down the best I have ever had. The staff is the best!! I always recommend Backstreets to anyone I know who will be visiting the area and everyone of them have loved it!! They can have a relaxing bite to eat with their children in a safe, fun environment. Perhaps everyone should use this site as it is intended and not publish their political rhetoric on it. As a true Southern lady such as myself would say to them - Bless your heart!
In this great nation you are entitled to your opinion. That right is protected by our magnificent constitution. The great irony of the left is that they pick and choose which aspects of the constitution apply. They pave the road for despots and charlatans (are your reading this Barack and Eric?)
So.....I'm doing a business area study and will determine who your main competitors are in the Pub business. Once I find the right ones I'm going to send monies to each so they can host a "screw the backstreets Pub" happy hour....on me.
See how it works....douche bag.
The owner has no qualms about advertising his/her views of any patron that exercises his/her 2nd amend. They have done so in a very unprofessional manner (notices posted that plainly state any CWP holder is not welcome - while resorting to immature name-calling.) Further, the notices posted are not legally binding and will not stand in court. However, the mission of the notices were to discourage CWP holders from patronizing the establishment. I think it is safe to say the mission has been accomplished much to the owner's dismay as public outrage is currently in full swing. At further detriment to the owner's, the general public is now aware that this establishment will make a fine target for armed robbery as there will be no individual on hand to prevent such an occurrence. Congratulations, Backstreets. You've successfully alienated a large portion of the surrounding community and further painted a very visible target on your back for would be criminals.
Waste of time and money! McDonald's has better wings and better service. Dirtiest bathrooms I have been in since visiting a Mexican gas station in the nineties.
Nasty. Nasty people. Nasty food. Go elsewhere if you value your health, oh and want respectful timely service.
