Worst Dining Experience!! – We showed up with a bachelorette group of 14. We had made a reservation, but the table they had ready for us would comfortably seat eight. We noticed on their seating chart that they had seated a group of ten at a table that would have easily accommodated our group. When we asked to bring over another table we were treated as if we were incompetent. The manager did not apologize at all and was actually rude to us asking us if we had "requested a high top" (the table that would accommodate the larger group)... of course not, we just requested a table to fit a group of 13! He made no effort at all to make up for the mistake. On top of that, because our group was so large and gratuity was automatically added, our server was almost nonexistent. It took about an hour to get our water. She hardly checked on us to see if we needed anything. The food was pretty good, but every other aspect of our experience was horrible and I will NEVER go there again and I highly recommend others to go elsewhere.
Worst Service – My food was great but my drinks were not. My drinks were being charged as double; all off them. My wife, sober from work, argued them; including the manager, and still they insisted they were in the right. They charged out account with no mercy. W e just moved to Mount Pleasant within two weeks from Atlanta. We will NEVER dine again.

I just want you to know... I came in on a 15 year anniversary night. Our regular drink is Absolute and diet coke. I ordered one for my wife and a blue moon for me... the mix drink tasted AWFUL. Absolutely gross... it was not Absolute Vodka!!! I tried again and he poured directly from the Absolute bottle in front of us. The drink tasted the same... GROSS and not Absolute Vodka. I gave the drink back and told him to close the tab which he did. The problem comes when he charged me for the drink. For this I feel this was theft and should be reported to as many places as possible. I will work hard to do just that!!!

I was very respectful to Mark and did nothing wrong. I never left his site with either drink as well. I am convinced the bottle of Liquor was in fact reused with cheap, cheap, low grade vodka. I believe this is criminal and I will do my best to make it stop… See you soon, next time I will be more prepared. thats if I ever go back
i would recommend NOT going here. you never know where their limits are. What else are they going to cheat
Good variety – My social group tries to have a dinner downtown once or twice a week, and Tsunami is one of the few places we've actually come back to. The service isn't the best, but the menu more than compensates for that. Plenty of different preparations of dishes, so the sushi and hibachi lovers are just as happy as those who like spicy or fried food. The atmosphere is lovely as well.
Great Place – We went to Tsunami on a busy Friday night with about 4 people...We got in with only about a 30 minute wait. Our server was great and the food was delicious. Would go back again...
Tsunami is AWFUL!! – I'm not one to write restaurant reviews, but I felt compelled to share my TERRIBLE experience at Tsunami. I was there for a business dinner. Well, I ordered one of the entree dishes and after an extremely long wait, the waitress brought the wrong dish (she was brand new). So I told her the problem and explained that she need not worry about it, as we did not have time to wait for a new one to be prepared. So she took the entree without me even touching it! When the check came, she had charged me for the meal from which I had not taken a single bite! As I said this was a business dinner and I did not want to make an issue of it at that time. But when I called the management the next day, they told me "Sorry about your luck" and said I should have dealt with it while I was there. I also wrote them a letter, explaining the circumstances. But I never got a reply. It's one thing to have bad service, but bad management, too!? There's no excuse. Don't patronize a place that treats customers this way! There are so many more restaurants in Downtown that actually value your business and will treat you with the Souther Hospitality that this city is famous for. I've since been eating at Wasabi (just a block up Market St) and it is SO much better (food and service).
Pricey Average Sushi – Possibly one of the better Sushi restaurants in the area... but still not that great. Sushi seems fresh enough, but is somewhat overpriced. The atmosphere is nice, a little trendy but not too much.
really good menu – This is a good place to eat before you take on the towns night life. Mike S. will take care of you behind the bar and the helpful servers will promptly seat and serve you. The food is really good and around 11 this place gets pretty packed with local drinkers.
Mt. Pleasant location – this was a great experience! Love sushi and this was an exceptional experience. Our server Josie was well informed and courteous, not to mention fun. Would definitely recommend this restaurant as opposed to most of the loud noisy places inside the historic district area of Charleston. Other than road construction, easy to find.
A pleasant surprise – (Mount Pleasant location) I had only had sushi once before, and hated it, but when approached to meet here for a business meeting I didn't want to suggest a new place, so I went. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I loved it. The ambiance is fantastic! They have a cute bar area, a great outdoor patio, and the rest of the restaurant is very cool and hip. Some menu items are a little pricy, but most of the sushi is very reasonable. The service was great, and the food was even better. Great place, must try!
