Wish I had read these awful reviews before ordering from them. I agree Candace is totally incompetent and could care less. Does not return calls, emails, etc. when I asked for her supervisor she said she was the supervisor......ah, there is the problem. When asked for the owner, she was on vacation. Clearly no one in charge. I have been waiting since April 5 for a table that only took 4 to 8 weeks. It is now the end of June and Candace cannot reach the shipping company. She says it is not her fault if they don't pick up the phone! Need I say more?

Do Not Recommend this place.

I ordered a pair of beautiful lamps from Candelabra. I received instead mismatched lamps . No big deal--these things happen!

What happened next, however, is very disappointing. Trying to get the order straight (I wanted to keep the lamp that was sent by mistake) was impossible and unpleasant. Natalie first sent me an email literally scolding me for returning one of the lamps . Now, it seems, I must pay shipping costs (!!) or restocking fees to correct the order. Natalie keeps reminding me about Candelabra's strict terms and conditions... It's not been fun, business-like or straight-dealing. I agree with the other reviews. Ordering from these people is not wise. If the order is incorrect or damaged--you will likely pay the price. Plenty of other websites to order from

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I ordered a cabinet from Candelabra and they made no mention that the piece would need to be assembled. When I received it, I received the cabinet in 1 box and then the 2 sliding doors in a second box. There were no assembly instructions included. When I asked them for instructions, I received vague ones the next day. When I asked several times for clarification via telephone and email, I finally received the most unhelpful and beyond offensive instructions from Candace White via Oly, the manufacturer:

"Because of the positioning of rail guides on the back of the doors, when you install the second door, you will need to have the first door completely closed. Slide the second door to the right, and reach around with your left hand, and move the rail guides into the up position. The rail guide on the inside upper left will be easily reached. The one on the inside upper right will be more difficult. You may need to have someone with long arms reach around and move it up into position, or even have a small person or child climb inside to be able to move it up."

I have received no further help from them after I received these instructions and the cabinet remains unassembled.

All to often you do not hear the good feed back on companies, only the negative. I moved to Charleston 10 years ago and was recommend to check out Candelabra to buy items for my fixer upper. Back then the selection was amazing and service was great. They helped me coordinate lighting for my entire home. Just about 6 months ago I moved into a new home and again visited Candelabra for lighting replacements as well as some great furniture and decorative items. I purchased 3 new lighting fixtures (one of them a large chandelier), a mirror (a large floor mirror), and chair. The staff referred an electrician to help with the lighting install and helped me set up delivery for my chair, mirror, and chandelier. I would highly recommend this store and website to anyone. They have an amazing selection and were a true pleasure for me to do business with.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR ENERGY, RUN !!!!!!!! – This is absolutely the worst sales service I have ever dealt with. CANDACE is the most incompetent, offensive, mannerless human being and she will waste your time and energy in the process.

If you want to order any line of furniture there are other websites you can go to... this is not a place where you want to do business... There is no rating that is LOW enough... There should be a button for 'do us all a favor and SHUT down!!!'

Luckily most people will only make the mistake of buying from candelabra ONCE!!!

THIS PLACE WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS, TRUST ME...

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE ! – I strongly suggest you go ANYWHERE else . I purchased a chest of drawers from Candeabra in early August . The web site said, "In stock, free shipping". After two months and 6-7 inquiries it arrived , damaged . Free delivery ? It was plopped in my drive way and that was that .It was to go to a fourth floor bedroom . Now I have a damaged chest in my foyer and nobody seems to know what's next . The worst customer service imaginable

they LIED to not RETURN/REFUND a light – This company is awful. I got a light fixture from a highly reputable company called Worlds Away. I was told was unsafe by my electrician who I had to pay for to come and inspect the light prior to installing wiring in my house to then install light fixture. He said it was defective. I called and they said they would refund me. But then I had to follow up for an RMA # three times and the return department accused me of tampering with the fixture. I returned the item as was without anything touched, When it got to Candelabra I was told wires were cut by me. NOT TRUE. I dont have wiring in my new home to cut wires and install the light fixture.

I have complained to the BBB and they have gone as far as calling me a liar by saying I changed my story of return "3 times". I have written emails and evidence that they lie to keep your money. The reps were rude, unresponsive and the returns manager HUNG UP on me without so much as a courtesy return call.

I am now after spending $580 on a light fixture another $180 to ship to to the company who is threatening to not return the item after 7 days unless I organize for shipment pick up and payment of another $180. So in essence this company has cost me $1000 for one light fixture because they lie and their electricians cut wires in order to not return /refund your money. THEY ARE FRAUDS!!!! I have filed a complaint with Worlds Away as well. DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY! that is desperate to make money of its customers.

Wonderful Store!! – We have bought lighting at this store for three years. Not the "big" lighting store in Charleston, BUT more selection and better product than the others. The newest styles and product found anywhere in the Carolinas. Website (ShopCandelabra) easy to navigate and has new product that is difficult to find at other stores. Con: Other locations are needed throughout Carolinas. My wife is a designer and she utilizes Candelabra for all of her clients. She likes the fact that their fixtures are unique and cannot be found anywhere else. Customer service was good and experience was great! Highly recommended.

Best selection of chandeliers – Modern and traditional fixtures. Best of have found in eastern Carolina.

Ordered placed in early June and ready as promised in 6 weeks.

Staff very helpful in assisting in selection of fixtures for my foyer and

dining room.

Table lamp and floor lamp unusual and very well priced.

My main concern is their customer service – After shopping there, I would have to think twice about giving a recomendation. Slow and unreliable service is definintly a con. Rude costumer service was almost insulting.
