I purchased a Trane heating & cooling system (not cheap) in 2006 from Advanced, at time of installation I added on service contract for few years. Eventually I went to a bi-yearly service maintenance format, which worked well for my family's needs. My furnace has a electrical filter which I am unable to maintain, as I am a disabled veteran and unable to utilize a ladder to reach the electrical filter unit. This week I had a scheduled appointment on Monday 12/09/2013 to service the furnace, I waited and waited at my house, no show from the service tech and no call back from Advanced. I phoned the business 1 hour after the scheduled time frame expired and was told because my appointment was set as a diagnostic service/tune up, I was low priority, as there were other people with serious heating problems. I spoke with Alanna (spl), whom I was led to believe was the manager, she apologized for the mis-communication and set up another appointment 9 am-11:00 am for today; Friday 12/13/2013. Again no show by Advanced! I phoned their office @ 11:47 am and spoke with Alanna (spl) she didn't offer any reason for the no-show but stated that a service tech would be at my house in another hour. I had explained to her on Monday that I'm unable to be at my house on Friday afternoon (VA medical appts.). At this point in our conversation, I was very displeased having been a regular customer and now feeling that I'm being shuffled around..and now my heating unit is not fully functional. Needless to say there must other customers with loads of money to spend, since I am now back to square 1; no service, maybe I'll get a appointment next week. Thanks for nothing Advanced, hopefully my family (2 young daughters included) will get use to the chilly temps in our house and my medical condition won't worsen.
I recently had them install a heating and cooling system in my house. Even on 85° day it won't get below 74 in the house. They keep giving me the runaround saying that with the temperature differences that's what it will be in my house. I had another company come out on my dime and they measured up the house to see if it was the right size cooling unit. As I suspected they said the unit was too small and the only way to correct it would be to replace the outside unit in a box that attaches to the AC under the furnace. It's at the point now where they will not return my phone calls or even help me to correct this issue in anyway. I actually spoke to an attorney but be very leery of the fine print on the back of your contracts. Legally there's nothing I can do for their incompetence and installing too small of a cooling system on my home. So if this review reaches one person that's good enough for me because I don't want anyone else to be stuck in a corner like this and invest thousands of dollars for something that doesn't work.
Fantastic – I called several local Heating places looking for parts and was told by all of them that they do not sell parts but they would love to come to my house and charge me exorbitantly for replacing the burnout igniter. I am a confidant handy man and don't usually need someone else fixing things I just need parts. So I can order them online if no one will sell me parts. BUT the folks at Advanced Heating are different from the rest. They said that they would be happy to assist me in getting the heat back in my house. I went down to their shop and within 10 Minutes I had the part needed to fix my furnace. No harassment or trying to work me over for more money. That is Customer Service! I really appreciate it. I recommend them for all your part needs. Thanks for caring about customers.
misleading advertisment – I responded to an advertisement that they sent to my address, offering a free service call with a $10 ID Foodbank donation. After further conversation on the phone, coming out to look at my heater is not a "service call", but a "diagnostic call" and would cost MUCH more. VERY MISLEADING; will not give them my business.
