43.613982 -116.203779The WORST bartender on the planet. I was in Boise, visiting friends from NYC. We went to The Zone to celebrate a friend's birthday and to catch some Vandals football. The place was packed and clearly The Zone was understaffed. While our waitresses worked hard to keep a positive attitude, we waited almost 20 minutes for our drinks. In an effort to relieve the overworked waitresses, I went to the bar myself to close our tabs. Keep in mind we had been there for almost 6 hours and had spent a considerable amount of money. After standing at the bar for nearly 10 minutes without so much as a glance from any of the 4 bartenders (who seemingly weren't doing much but talking to each other), I asked if I could get some service when someone had a minute. The bartender said, "No, you can't." At that, I said, "I'm just trying to pay my bill. I'm happy to not pay if you prefer it." Then I asked for the manager. The manager, came over and while he and I were sharing a nice conversation about New York, the bartender who refused service started screaming, "That's my dad!" over and over to the point where her dad/manager turned to her and said, "M****, Shut Up!" Then he said "Let me buy you a drink." I declined the gesture while she continued to yell at me and refused service even at the request of her dad/manager. As she finally handed over the tabs, she said, "You're a b*tch!" and "F*ck you!" Dad kept asking her to be quiet then finally said, "Just go home." I have worked and managed restaurants and hotels in NYC for 7 years. I have NEVER experienced the kind of service like I did in good ol' Boise, ID. And they say New Yorkers are rude? This place is an absolute joke
