Excellent overall shop – Went there the first time the other day and i have to say that im impressed. They have an excellent collection of firearms along with fair prices. They also had excellent customers service. This place has a family feel to it. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.
Very Helpful – I am a young women who was very uncomfortable around guns. My husband has been wanting me to learn to shoot since he was planning to buy one for home protection. We came to the store a few weeks ago to look at guns. We were unaware that they had a range. A young man was helping us look at guns and i expressed my concern with being comfortable with them and he brought over a women who works there and she showed me her gun, and after watching a video and doing paperwork she took me in the range showed me how to stand, hold the gun, aim and shoot. At first i was so nervous and scared, but it was nice having a women help me and show me how to overcome my fear. Now we try to come to the range every weekend and the staff has been wonderful. The helped me overcome my fear and now me and my husband have a new hobby together.
Not worth the drive – Kept hearing about their range and selection and I was unimpressed. Couldn't use the ammo I brought on their range, wasn't allowed to fire my .22 rifle and their selection of firearms left much to be desired.
Went back today (1/13/12) for a one-year after visit. Spent about thirty minutes browsing and left empty handed. Couldn't get a straight answer from the staff about the availablity of a handgun. I'll never go back.
This is obviously a FAKE report. We've never turned away a shooter with a rifle! With Range Safety Officer supervision, shooters could fire a 50BMG rifle in our range! For the safety of our patrons and staff we do not allow non jacketed - lead ammo. But in 22LR jacketed ammo is the same price as lead. Again this person is probably a competitor trying to run us down.
buying a gun – just bought a gun an scope.salesman said they would install scope an bore site it.assint mgr. said no ...cost extra 15.00 to do that.they also wont give you near what your guns worth on trade.he said they need to make money.wont buy again.also ammo very high there. had lots of different guns.good selection.
Since 2000 our policy is to mount and bore sight scopes at no charge - when we sell a rifle and scope.
On trades, we value used guns based on condition and by the BLUE BOOK of GUN VALUES. Once the retail price has been established, we offer WHOLESALE value on trades. We are told our process is more transparent because we will tell you exactly what we will turn around and sell your gun for.
Business hours – why are the business hours noty on the web site. I live away and don;t want to drive to the store and find it closed.. hours of business....PLEASE
Business hours are posted on our web site
PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE MOVED TO NEW STORE! – Please note that as of July 2010 we are at our new location with our new indoor range
Waste of Time – I drove all the way from Powell because I had heard the ads on the radio. When I walked in, a lady behind the counter was arguing with a customer over sending a pistol back to the manufacturer. Not sure what that was all about. The young guy behind the counter did a great job of ignoring me as I stood in front of him. I was there looking for ammo and a holster for my Taurus Judge. They had a great selection of holsters but I didn't see .45 Colt ammo. I stood there looking stupid for about 10 minutes without anyone even offering to help. I drove for 30 minutes so I could stand in that store and be ignored. I will never go back and I advise anyone looking for friendly people at a gun store to go somewhere else. I wouldn't even rate this establishment with 1 star but it doesn't go any lower.
I seriously doubt this customers was ignored for ten minutes. Ask our actual customers & they'll tell you we arent perfect but making visitors feel welcome is one thing we do well. As far as there being no 45 Colt at the that time there was no 45 colt anywhere. However, I am sorry this person had a bad experience but I have to stick up for my employees. Brant - Owner Frontier Firearms.
great shop!!! – I have bought 2 weapons from frontier and couldnt be happier. ran across them at a gun show and realized that they clearly had the lowest prices around. not dissapointed when i visited their store!!!
Sure can tell when competitors try to mask themselves & writ – Using same lines as "customer service"
Anywhere > Frontier Firearm – Called and lady said she was too busy to look up the price of a gun for me. I was told to call back. I called back a few minutes later, and was put on hold by her for 10+ minutes, until I finally hung up. I've been in the store and know for a fact it takes maybe 15 seconds to walk from one end to the other. They have pretty good prices, but I'l pay a few more dollars at Gander Mtn or Coal Creek Armory if I am going to be treated like that.
I recommended not wasting your time there.
"First Come - First Served". Phone shoppers simply cannnot be allowed to jump ahead of customers in our store. Besides it would take a fulltime employee to answer the questions, quote prices, or value used guns over the phone. Fortunately, ACTUAL customers do not get upset with our limited phone service. Rather our customers enjoy coming into our store and they like being treated as a priority over phone callers!
