I could never be comfortable nor confident with my smile, but now I’m not covering my face when I smile or laugh.
Words cannot really express my gratitude for what you and your staff have done for me. I have been terrified of dentists since my mid-twenties and neglected my oral health. When I could no longer ignore it, I saw your ad enclosed in a ValuPak mailing and your picture and smile made me think you would give an appointment the very next week. From that first visit, your staff treated me with respect and what I had done to my teeth. Even the shock of being told I would lose all my upper teeth was told with understanding. You reassured me that I would leave your office with my denture in place and never have to go through the embarrassment of not having teeth. I have never had a medical professional call today’s world, that kind of compassion is very rare. You have one of the most professional staff of employees I have ever met.
The longer I wear my denture the more I discover that there is very little in the food realm I cannot eat. I might have to take smaller bites but that is probably a good thing.
Again, all I can say is thank you and to let all my friends know that if they need a dentist, I know of a brilliant one.
Everyone was extremely nice, especially Janice-very gentle in cleaning.
Round a month or so ago, I began experiencing pain in my mouth due to a problem with a tooth. I also started to have swelling in my throat. I called Dr. Rice on a Sunday afternoon because it has reached the level that I couldn’t wait until a business day. Dr. Rice was very concerned and wanted me to call the office for a work in. I was seen and plan a set up to do a crown and a root canal. By the next day, I became much sicker and ended up in the emergency room twice. I also had a salivary gland infection which was discovered at the last with a CT of the jaw. I returned to Dr. Rice, had the tempo-crown, a root canal, and finally the permanent crown. I had been about sick as ever in my life and Dr. Rice had informed of the seriousness of the infection on my initial visit. The care and concern I received from Dr. Rice and all of her staff was outstanding. I had extreme pain, but they helped to make a difficult situation much better quickly. I am very grateful for their care and the concern and I have a much greater appreciation.
My life has been marked by terrible dental experiences. Highly sensitive to pain, I found that most did not take me seriously when I told them I could “feel the drill”. It created a scary environment any time I had to have work done. Finally, after literally every cavity I’d ever had filled was a pain filled experience; I began having straight up panic attacks in the chair. I even had one dentist tell me during a root canal that I was feeling “pressure” not “pain”! All I could do was sob and was awe struck at the individual telling me what I was feeling, and not taking me seriously – when in feat I still had a live nerve. Dr. Rice understood my fears, took proper precaution to avoid panic attacks and provide a soothing environment for me. I still fear the pain I have often felt during dental work, but no longer fear.
I was listened to, cared for or taken seriously. Bravo!!
Every visit was kept comfortable in every sense, can’t wait to come back for a check-up.
