Oh God! Please do not use this service. I was charged $200 to change out a part on my gas stove to repair one eye. Now all four are not working properly. It is also hard to get anyone to call you back. I also agree that the techs are not qualified. I will never use this service again.

Oven repair - gas leak – The oven on the cooking range we purchased stopped working. During the first visit the tech from Broussard said that the gas pressure was too low.

Upon questioning why the broiler/ top burners were still working her responded that he didn't know, but the pressure was too low.

The excess flow valve was replaced, and oven still did not function.

When same tech returned he said the pressure was still too low, and he pointed out that when he disconnected the main gas line that barely any gas came out of the line. I then explained to him how an excess flow valve worked, after which he immediately changed his mind and said that it must be the igniter in the oven section. I pointed out that it could also be the safety valve connected to the ignitor, but he was addemant that it was the ignitor (without even opening the oven)

When the same tech returned a week later he replaced the igniter and the pressure control valve, neither which fixed the oven, and then said it could be the safety valve.

My wife had to leave right after the tech left, when my wife and I returned home together several hours later, there was a very strong smell of gas in the whole house.

After closing off the gas, venting the house and some investigation with soap solution I found one of the connections that the tech had dis/reconnected was not gastight. I tried to call the company that Friday (~5:45pm) but there was no one in the office, the main mailbox that their phone system directed me to was full and did not allow me leave a message. There were no alternative options to leave a message, or any emergency contacts. On Monday I called the company again, the customer service department correctly addressed my complaint. I informed them that the same tech would not be let into my house again, and the customer service rep acknowledged that. I informed her that I wished to speak to a supervisor due to the serious nature of the error made and she promised that I would be contacted by a supervisor later in day due to the high work load on a Monday morning.

Wednesday morning still nothing, so I called back. Same friendly and concerned customer service person. She said she'd passed on the message to call back and would do so again. I refused that option and demanded to talk someone right away. After a couple of minutes on hold she promissed me that a manager would call me right back on my cell.

Within a few minutes Paul called me and appologized for the delay mentioning high workload. Well I'd think that a customer complaining about a tech leaving a gasleak would warrant some immediate action.

Paul did act quickly in checking on the status of the latest part on order and assured me that it was in-house. He offered for the same tech to come out next day, that I declined as I don't believe that tech should touch another gas appliance without retraining or supervision. Right now a different tech is scheduled to come out on Friday...

REFRIGERATOR REPAIR – The computer in my refrigerator stopped working. I phoned Dial One and an appointment was set. The repair person arrived on time, was professional and well groomed.

I've had so many bad experiences with repair persons coming to my home, arriving late and in dire need of a bath.

The repair was quick and inexpensive. What a great company to do business with!!

Very Reliable – I've used Dial One Broussard Appliance on several occasions for at least three different major appliances in the four years I've lived in New Orleans. Each time they have arrived within the time specified and performed the work quickly and with a smile. This past Friday I called to have my washer repaired and they told me that they could have someone out on Monday between 12 and 5pm. The repairman arrived at 1pm and I was fortunate enough that he didn't require any new parts. He completed the work within 45 minutes and ONLY charged me the service fee! I've recommended Broussard to friends in the area.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! – I called and scheduled an appointment to have my washer repaired. The first available appointment was several days away, so I went to the trouble to make special arrangements to have a half day covered at work so that I could meet the repair person. Several hours before the appointment, Dial One called to tell me they weren't going to make the appointment and could they reschedule for another day. RIDICULOUS!!! I would give them zero stars.

Such a bad experience, wish I had another choice – Clearly the former owner who chose the appliances for my kitchen selected the most unreliable, and Dial One seems to be the only local service. Either their technicians lack basic diagnostic skills, or they're padding the bill with additional parts and visits.

On the first visit, you will be asked for an $82.95 call fee, and told that this will be deducted from your final payment. Not true - you pay the $82.95 in addition to any parts and labor for the subsequent repair.

On two occasions - once with my fridge, once with my dishwasher - I've had the tech say one part needs to be replaced, wait a week for it to come in, another day to schedule the appt, then when the part is installed, have them tell me that there's another part they need to order. If it had happened once, I could forgive it, but twice with two different appliances suggests incompetance. This time, I wasn't called with an estimate; I wasn't called when the part came in (I called to follow up). when the second part was needed, I was told he would rush it; he didn't, and again I had to follow up to find out if the part was in. I've now been 3 1/2 weeks with an out of service dishwasher.

I can say that they are timely and will call before coming.

Great service. – The service was painless. I scheduled on line and the technician called me 30 minutes before so that I could meet him and I didn't have to wait on him at home. I will definately use again and will recommend.

Washing Machine Repair – I called up dial one to fix my washing machine. One repair man came out and advised it was an issue w/ water valves and advised he would have to order them. Then a different repair man came out and changed out the valves and then turned on the washer and then advised that the transmission was out in the washing machine and its best just to buy a new one. Sure would have be nice to know prior to me spending another $150.00 to get the thing fixed. They are not to be trusted. Very nice when they are taking your money but have no idea what they are actually doing. Absolutely horrible

Dryer Repair – Broussard Appliance Service came out to fix my dryer and it needed a new belt. The first service man did not have a belt so I needed to reschedule another day for them to come out with a belt. Three days later another repair man came out and did not have the correct belt so I needed to schedule another day for them come out with the correct belt. In the meantime I got the belt from a local appliance part store and replaced it myself. The part was $15.00 and Broussard's was going to charge me $198.00 plus the $90.00 "diagnostic fee". I will not use Broussard Appliance repair again.
