where do I start. Been getting highlights and lowlights for years at the same salon in another state decided to try this place last Saturday. went with a more experienced colorist. I
was having red with my blond highlights touched up. after the the color I was turned over to someone else to cut it. as she was drying it I noticed that both sides around my face were purple. I said "is this purple that has just bled onto the blond,as that has happend once before and it had washed out after a few washes?" she said let me get the colorist who came over and I asked the same thing she said yes thats it it should washout. It was so noticeable, after she was done drying I wasnt even offered a mirror to see the back. I paid, the most I ever paid for my hair in my life. I got home started looking and realized that it was not the blond that had the purple on it but half way down my red areas in several random spots all over my head. It was clear it was not right and it was clear that they had were not going to say anything about it until I did. It should have been delt with that day. I tried washing a few times then called back Monday, was offered a appt in a week in a half on the 9th. I said I would take someone else to fix it. Got in yesterday at 4:30 with Brett who called me before the appt to let me know they close at 8 and wanted me to be aware that they might not be able to fix it in that time. ok. When I got there I was made to feel like somehow I caused it by my shampoo, the three times I washed it or the type of color I used in the past. After test strips and drying he said and you know we will be redoing it up to the root I said "well I should hope so" was then told by Brett 'You dont have to cop a attidude" . That was it. I did not say another word until he was almost done drying it. I could tell the condition has been completley compromised, tangled, hard to comb. I was so upset I ask for my money back just for the color, didnt care about the tip, haircut ect, was told it wasnt their policy and I could call coorprate. I left while she was getting me the number. she did call and leave the number o my voicemail along with "hope to see you soon".....REALLY???
They were too harsh on my toe nails that he cut me. Worst pedicure I've ever had. Instead of leaving relaxed I left thinking why I even stayed till the end. NO street parking, will never go back .
Great Cut, Horrible Front Desk – I have a great hair cut from a wonderful stylist, however the front desk/receptionists are so rude. Would it hurt them to be friendly or say "welcome", "thank you", "have a nice day"?!?! I think customer service is key in a salon and unfortunately, Paris Parker - Prytania really lacks in service.
Best haircut in my life!!! – I get compliments more than a hundred times a day! Best Best Best haircut I have ever had in my life and that was with Dave Jinx at Paris parker Magazine. He listens to exactly what i want. I showed him a picture once and gave me the exact picture. His conversation is great, and love the scalp massage during the shampoo! Like I said, BEST HAIRCUT EVER.
KEELEY IS FANTASTIC!! – I have had a wonderful experience everytime!! I have been going to Keeley for awhile now and will not go anywhere else. She found me the perfect color for my hair. I get compliments on it all the time! She listens to what I really want & my hair comes out awesome everytime. She's super sweet, you'll love her!!
Wow!!!!! – I had my cut with Chris Guidry. He is truly great. Several of my friends told me, and I now know what they have been talking about! He listened to me, made suggestions, and exceeded my expectations! He is a artist with a straight razor.
Came from Baton Rouge to get a haircut from Dave – I drove an hour to see Dave for a haircut. He listened to what I wanted and was very thorough! I love my cut and will drive an hour to see him!! My overall experience was great, I felt welcomed and comfortable!
finally!! – Just wanted to take the time to say I got a GREAT cut at the Paris Parker Prytania location. I have used other locations, mostly the Northshore, but have found a stylist I would like to stick with!! His name is David-he listens to what you ask for and delivers!! Go check him out.....
see Dave for the best cut ever! – After paying way too much for mediocre hair cuts by some of NYC's top stylists, I'm extremely untrusting of getting my hair cut by anyone new. This salon came highly recommended and I was scheduled with Dave. He gave me one of the best hair cuts I have ever had, far better than some cuts that I had paid over $200 for. Even my stylist in NYC thought he did amazing work! I find there is nothing more disappointing than a stylist that lacks creative vision. I don't want to have to tell anyone how to cut my hair. Dave gave me a great cut within minimal guidelines. I will most definitely return!
Disappointed! – I don't know if it's this location or what, but my stylist was horrible. Avoid Anne. I am usually very happy with Paris Parker and I think my mistake was going to this particular location. I usually go to the one at the mall and haven't had any problems. I wanted my hair cut and highlighted and couldn't make an appointment at my usual location so I called this one. They easily fit me into an appointment and when I got there it seemed like a very nice location. Until my so-called stylist, Anne, started cutting my hair. I asked for a specific cut and style and she butchered it! I thought maybe it would look finebut when I got home I noticed my layers were NOT gradual but very choppy and poorly done. I was so upset I almost cried. I was able to make an appointment at my other location and they thankfully sort of fixed it. My hair is much shorter now and I would recommend avoiding this stylist. I'm sure the other stylists are good so I can't totally blame the store.
