Just An Average Sando Shop – Nashoba could be so much better than it is. The food is average and the place also needs to be tidier.

French pastries tempt calorie-counters at this inviting neighborhood spot, but it's the killer sandwiches that pack in the crowds. – The Scene
During the week, locals stop by on their way to and from work for coffee and a snack. Come weekends, the bright, airy space is perfect for reading a book or engaging in a quiet conversation. Young, friendly staffers make sandwiches and coffee drinks to order (it's counter-service only). With lots of natural light and a hip, contemporary soundtrack playing in the background, it's an ideal spot for lingering over the Sunday paper.

The Food
Excellent, French-style baked goods are made daily in Nashoba's Concord headquarters, but the house sandwiches are the main attraction in the Boston location. Premium fillings, fresh produce, homemade garnishes and the bakery's excellent breads combine to yield exceptional sandwiches like the flavorful No. 9 (smoked turkey, avocado, carrots and wasabi mayo). Lighter fare includes quirky homemade soups and salads, including a zingy carrot, ginger and sesame salad. Sinful cookies and pastries round out a perfect lunch.

Fabulous Food – This place was delightful and friendly. During our one week trip we went 4 times. Sandwiches were huge, half will feed you. The breads were SOOO good - olive bread on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Salads were different and reasonable - blue cheese and broccoli flavored just right. Vinagrette with just the right tang. And bakery items that were just delicious, the little fruit tarts are worth twice the $1.50 price. If you go to Boston and miss this tiny little place, it's your loss. I miss it.

I travel 5 miles to eat here! – Love toast? Good, strong, coffee? If so, check out Nashoba Brook next time you are low on funds and looking for a great breakfast or snack. Their Harvest toast (50 cents/slice) is wonderful - dried fruit, nuts, spices, all baked into a hearty slice of bread - Yum! They have a handy coffee club card - but 10, get the 11th free - and a great location - 1/2block from the Back Bay T stop. Pastries and sandwhiches are great, too - the only thing that needs a touch o' improvement is the service, although at times it can be pretty good. Needless to say, i love this bakery!
