Home-improvement, building and garden supplies for do-it-yourself projects, large and small. – In Short
Founded in 1946 in North Carolina, Lowe's began as a small-town hardware store. Today, the home-improvement giant operates locations throughout the United States selling supplies for indoor and outdoor projects, appliances, building materials, tools and more. Products include everything from plumbing parts and lumber to garden accessories and wallpaper. Installation services are available for a variety of home products including appliances, windows, flooring, roofing and fencing.
Worst Lowe's store Anywhere – I went in this location to order a simple $15.00 grill cover . After the 9 day delivery date I was told to come back and pick this item up i was called and told it was there to be picked up . I went in and was told the item was lost and they would have to reorder it . Another 10 days passed and I got another call to come in and pick it up . Again the item was lost and noone could find it . Once more it was to be ordered and i would get a call. That day came and i was told that it was in the hand of the person talking to me . I went in to pick it up and was told the item order was cancelled and I was mistaken that someone called me for it was not in the store . I refused to leave until I my grill cove was found and he Mngr. told me i would have to just wait until they got time to help me . After going around myself to several employees and making them all look for my item one of them found it . So in all I spent over $70.00 in gas driving to and from this store for a $15.00 grill cover . Needless to say this store has THE WORST service I have ever experienced.
Spring customers stick with Home Depot! – This store is fairly new to the area and moved in directly across from the well established Home Depot in Spring. I checked it out a few times but found the employees to be less than helpful. This didn't bother me so much until I tried to get out the door in a hurry with a 99 cent purchase. There was no barcode and I would not be allowed to purchase the item (a sample piece of floor tile) without it. Despite the huge display sign visible to the cashier from where she stood, she ignored my questions "could you ring it up as miscellaneous?", "could I leave the money and you can figure it out after I'm gone?" I really was in a hurry. She did however speak to my child and told her to "go get another tile with a barcode" while I stood there wondering why I couldn't pay my dollar and leave. She waited on two other customers while I waited to pay for my 99 cent tile and by then I was asking for a manager. She disappeared for another 10 minutes to search for the missing barcode. I ended up leaving the tile there, deciding that if they couldn't get their act together for a 99 cent purchase, then they probably wouldn't do any better with an entire floor purchase. I'm sticking with the smiling faces and helpful people at Home Depot.
