I went to see Victor Casiano years ago for a fibroid issue. He did not give me an option on the type of surgery and just said here, "we use a robot". I trusted him (unfortunately). The robot was to be used for a more benign type of surgery (i.e. smaller fibroids ) and not for the size of the ones I had.
He **never** showed me X-rays of my condition (before or after surgery). When I tried to get my records from him to go see a reportedly good gynecologist in a different city, the office would not send them. This was after **repeated** requests. The condition has worsened now not only because of his ineffective approach to resolve the problem but also because the office refused to release my records to other (better/more qualified) doctors.
If you want to be a guinea pig, this is the place to be!
I love the doctors here at IFWH, they are great and really care about you. Now the front staff is the downfall. They talk to you as if you're an idiot. I'm a receptionist and I know proper etiquette and unfortunately it's just not there with the front staff. Overall my wait time isn't bad, it's normal for a doctors office.
Women Be Warned – We went through the Institute for Women's Health to have our second child. Dr. Troy was our physician and everything seemed to be going just fine until the day of our delivery. I understand that a doctors schedule can get busy but we only had our doctor present for the actual delivery itself. Some say this is expected. However, we had a scheduled C-section allowing for plenty of room to accommodate us. If it was not a good day I wish someone could have said something. When there is room to make plans, they should make them!
There was a complication during delivery.
Love Dr Valadez but Not a huge of office staff – I had never been to IFWH before and a friend recommended using them. I was pregnant with my first child and needed to find prenatal care. I first saw a female doctor there and wasnt disappoint, ment but was a huge fan of hers. I not knowing anything about labor and pregnancy wanted someone to be super specific about what to expect and what was going on etc etc. I felt like we just werent a good match. I thought about finding a dif practice untill I met Dr. Ronald Valadez. I absolutley love him and feel so comfortable talking and asking questions about things. He is always in a great mood and I would come back to this place ONLY b/c of him. It is a shame howevber that the office staff can be rude not friendly and unorganized. They never kept track of when certain test needed to be done or followed through on appoint, ment times. I always felt like they never knew what was going on. But when I got behind on one late payment they treated me as if I had a 30 - 60 day deliquent account! They were insulting and rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. I was late by less then a hundred dollars and not even over a two week period. BUt b/c I really like Dr Valadez I grin and bear it and ignore the rude front desk service. Also, The lady who draws bloood and does all the lab test is very kind. I usually think it hurts to have blood drawn but she is alwuyas so gently careful and friendly. To bad everyone else who works there isnt the same. !
Bad choice – Was a patient of this facility for over 5 years and regret every bit of it. Spent entirely to much time in the waiting area, avg 2hrs per visit. If you are having difficulty conceiving this is the wrong place for you. Check out your other options.
Love this office! – I have been a patient with the Institute For Women's Health for over 3 years. The staff are very friendly and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
OB-GYN, Excellent – Excellent physician, excellent bedside manners. Have been a patient for over 12 years. Babies are born everyday and sometimes there maybe a little delay, but worth the wait.
User review by salinas_gigi – Good doctor, waiting room time-way too long, makes you wait for up to two hours to see him, very friendly, does not return calls promptly.
