Are you kidding me???? – When your ashtray is overflowing with quarters, what does one do? They go to Waterworks where the vacuum guy will cheerfully remove them for you free of charge.
If you need somewhere to go where the term 'NO MEANS NO' doesn't apply, visit the never ending supply of new salesmen at Waterworks. I mean really....I have never ever witnessed salesmen that will tell you anything to get you to buy a wax or a wash package. I don't mind that they are trying to sell but to look me in the eye as if I was a complete idiot and make up terms that make no sense....it is laughable. "I can tell your paint has a lot of oxidation." Really? It is a 08' Benz that had a dealer wax done before it was bought a two months ago. The salesmen ruin the business (other than the stealing pukes that vacuum the car).
On the plus side, you can get a guy, or a girl, that is really good to dry your car off. It does happen. My ride will usually leave looking pretty good. At the same time the hassle of dealing with the salesmen lying to your face and the five finger vacuum guy I must give this 2 Stars. Two is being nice. Normally I beat the hell out of someone that steals from me but in this case I have no proof. That will change (thanks iPhone)
Mislead! – I had a free car wash coupon. They told me they would give me a 7 day rain check if I purchased a $5 wheel shine. 7 days later, they refused to honor the rain check. I guess some people will do anything to make a buck
This place is a joke. – This Waterworks and the other one off of N.W. Military are both owned by John Nikolau and he lets Eloy Trevino general manage them. That would be mistake #1. The management at each place is highly innadequete. The job they do is poor at best, and the staff are concerned for their money then the work they put forth. I've never seen a sorry excuse for a car wash where you are pushed by the salesman as well as the cashiers. How this place is still in business is beyond me. I went there for six months for the pass I was given as a gift and as much as I love the thought of the gift it turned out to be a sad one at that. I spoke with several employees on the side and each one of them told me some interesting stories about how these places are run. So let me tell that it would be a horrible idea if anyone would try and have their car washed there. Beware of all that goes down there. Very dishonest place with so little to provide as a business.
manager Hits on others girlfriends – If you wish to see your girlfriend undress with the carwash owners bring you wheels to water works. You will not be disapointed
STAY OPEN LATER – Last month I got a coupon for WaterWorks. It was on the back of my HEB receipt, 2 months unlimited for $29 ( I can go as many times as I want, and each time they wash the inside and out). I have been a customer of WashTub for a while, but when I found out the price difference for the memberships- I switched. I saw some of the other comments about this location- and so far I have not had any problems. They are "supposedly" under new management- and I have seen a new guy there who even held the door open for me. The sales people can be pushy at any car wash- just like a Car Salesman. I do have to say no a couple times before they get the point, but overall I have been happy with WaterWorks- The reason why I am writing this comment is because I would like them to stay open later. I am hoping if more people comment on wanting them to stay open later, they will.
Poor Service and Pressure Salesmen – I bought one of their car wash ?passes? but never used all of them after my second visit. When you first pull up you must pass through the most aggressive sales staff who try and sell you additional services. I?m OK with someone offering me to upgrade a wash but these people don?t take NO for an answer. My second and last trip the kid at my car window was pleading with me to get a wax or tire shine and after repeated NO THANK YOUs from me he replied, ?Come on lady, throw me a bone!?. You must then deal with the next sales pitch to have your windshield replaced before getting out of your car. The windshield crew also did not accept NO and was pointing out ?micro abrasions? on my glass that they promised would be replaced by my insurance company at no cost to me. I finally get inside the building and the cashier is trying to sell me additional wash passes after I told her I had a new book of them. The wash itself is mediocore and lacks any quality control?that is, nobody ?inspects? the vehicle before the kid with the dirty towel hands the keys over to you and a palm extended for a tip.
what do u expect the customer wants a new car but only spends 7 dollars. Give it to the one who's take your car : as if i would do your yor car if iknow you do not tip. – yeah you get what you, paid or pay for . may have a empolyee worthless but if he there ever day by430am to get on clock , then there is a problem. It 'so easy to place blame, yetn it could be worst.
IVE WORKED THERE AND LET ME TELL YOU.... – I WORKED AT WATER WORKS IN THE SUMMER OF 07, AND LET ME TELL YOU... THAT PLACE IS A RIP OFF... I WORKED IN THE DETAIL AREA, AND MAN, AFTER SEEING WHAT WE CHARGE CUSTOMERS AND WHAT SERVICE WE GIVE.... I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER PAY FOR SOME TO WASH OR DETAIL MY CAR.... I CAN REMEMBER DOING VERY EXPENSIVE DETAILS ON CARS, LIKE AROUND $245 ON A CAR...... WE WERE SUPPOSE TO DO THE WORKS ON THIS CAR... WELL THAT TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE AFTER I SAW THE CORNERS THAT WE CUT ON THIS CAR...... WE WERE SUPPOSE TO CLAY THE CAR, THEN POLISH IT, THEN WAX IT...... NOPE.... NOT AT ALL... INSTEAD WE USED A $6 BOTTLE OF DETAILER SPRAY, AND JUST WIPED THE ENTIRE CARE DOWN.... MAN DID THAT SPRAY WORK... CAUSE THAT 85 YEAR OLD WOMEN THOUGHT WE SPENT HOURS ON THE CAR, WHEN IN FACT WE SPENT ONLY ABOUT 30 MINUTES, THEN PARKED IT OUTSIDE IN THE SUN..... RIHGT BEFORE I STARTED THERE, KSAT NEWS HAD AN UNDERCOVER CAR WASHED.....THERE WERE CAMERAS IN THE CAR, THE IT CAUGHT EMPLOYEES STEALING ITEMS FROM INSIDE THE CAR WHEN THEY WOUILD DRIVE THE CAR FROM THE VACCUM AREA TO THE WASH TUNNEL.... SO BE CAREFUL !
Complained of Dirty Rag Used to Wipe Car - Almost Fisticuffs With Oscar their Manager – I've been going to the Water Works on Wurzbach (next to Ancira Chevrolet) for almost eight years. In this time I've seen a steady decline in service. It used to be primarily teenagers who provided the final wipe-down of the vehicles. In the last year their detail staff looks as if they were recruited from under highway overpasses. It has also evolved to an aggressive gauntlet of sales persons that you must navigate through to get your car washed. Their manager, Oscar, has ZERO people or customer relations skills. I've had small issues with him in the past but none as explosive as my last visit. I have a 2009 Chrysler mini-van. After a Full-Service wash and vacuum I noticed the rear of the vehicle was not vacuumed. I showed Oscar (who NEVER apologizes) and he returned the van back to the vacuum station. When Oscar returned he tells me it's my fault the rear was not vacuumed because I had the rear doors shut. Applying his logic I asked why then, did they vacuum the front of the van because the front doors were also shut. We engaged in this banter for a few minutes at which time I noticed the body of the vehicle was streaked from the use of a dirty rag during the final wipe-down. Oscar told me the streaks were from new "micro-fiber" towels they were using. I told him I was tired of his excuses and to re-wash the van. He refused and stated the finish would still streak the next time through. I demanded a refund and he also refused. It was at this point the conversation turned very heated. Oscar said he knew from experience that a customer like me could not be satisfied and asked me to leave. We exchanged more heated words and he finally threatened to call the Police and charge me with trespassing if I did not leave the property. I left and called the office of the owner of the Wash Tub (Eloy) who has never returned my call. I will NEVER return to the Wash Tub, even if they fire Oscar.
AVOID @ ALL COST – I was supposed to get what THEY CALL a show room wash $169.00 Thet did not vacume under the under or between the seats they told me that they vacumed all the sand they could. after leaving I went to The self service car wash and was able to vacume all the sand up waxed half the roof. and got some cleaner from pep boys and got the spot they said would not come out. on my seat WORST CAR WASH IN TOWN!!!!!!!
