Family-friendly hamburger chain with fair prices, accommodating services and 1950s flair. – In Short
This chain restaurant's orange-and-white A-frame buildings dot the Southern coast, from Florida to Arizona. What's made Whataburger grow since its first burger stand opened in 1950 is its commitment to custom orders--the restaurant is happy to fill special requests, as promised in the motto "Just as you like it." The signature five-inch patties and buns--an inch larger than most other chains--have also hooked loyalists to their burgers and chicken sandwiches.

Whattaburger? Whattajoke – I spent a year overseas and had never been to Texas until now. A friend Texas and said I absolutely had to make it the first place I stopped. Puhleeez! This was one of the worst hamburgers I have ever had. There's too much stuff on it, the big fat white bun is gross and the meat is just plain bland. This would not be a value if they gave you the burger for free.

Great Burger – In my opinion, Best burger in San Antonio and I have tried them all. When I come home I go to Whataburger on the way home from the airport because I have missed them by being away. Great burger from a fast food place!

Consistent taste and quality – You can count on any Whataburger restaraunt in the state to have consistently high quality burgers. It doesn't matter if you are in Amarillo or Brownsville or anywhere in between, you get the same size, taste and value. These are the way hamburgers are meant to be - always hot and fresh and made to order. And - I can't live without that jalepeno option that you don't get at a lot of burger joints.
