Arguably one of the first yoga businesses in town, Yoga Yoga was the site of my own yoga entree. At the Anderson location they offer vigorous vinyasa classes, as well as a mini, well-stocked yoga bookstore.

not so impressed – Classes too large. Too little attention to individual student. I suggest going to smaller studio with less emphasis on $$$ and more emphasis on practice of yoga itself.

Good but with issues – I've been going to Yoga Yoga North for several years now because of the convenient location, friendly staff, and readily available props. Nonetheless I have many complaints: * Crowding: Classes are often crowded, especially on weekday evenings and with popular teachers. * Quality: The teachers vary widely in this respect, although very few made me genuinely upset. If you run into a bad teacher, try again with another and you'll probably like them. * Dangerous methods: There's a real problem with teachers trying to run intermediate classes at an advanced level. Less experienced folks get hurt because they get exhausted and don't realize they're in over their heads. Good yoga should not cause injuries! * Time management: Some of the teachers are not very good at showing up for class on time and finishing on time (their famed yogi tea isn't quite as good when it's cold because class finished 20 minutes late). The studio also routinely tolerates students who are chronically late, causing numerous interruptions at the beginning of every single class. This lack of discipline runns (sic - citysearch flagged that as an "inappropriate word") contrary to what yoga is about.

Best Yoga In Town! – Yoga Yoga offers the most diversity in instructors! This keeps things interesting for my yoga practice. This also gives a beginner plenty of teachers and styles to choose from. The whole center has a real earthy vibe to it, and there Unlimited Yoga Passes are a real bargain! They are highly recommended!

Yoga experts offer varying levels of classes for varying levels of ages. – In Short
The friendly instructors have assembled a weekly schedule of more than 65 classes from prenatal yoga for expetant moms to children's yoga for kids ages five to eight, and nine to 13. Each location boasts its recycled-fiber carpeting, simulated natural sunlight and purified drinking water. Have allergy problems? The studio is continually purged of all those sneeze-inducing baddies. Looking for killer workout? Try the kundalini and ashtanga classes. Or try hatha yoga for something lighter.

Yogi Tea and an ultra-relaxing atmosphere – I've practiced yoga since childhood - mostly at home, but I've also taken classes at my gym, at UT, & in a few free venues around town. YogaYoga is my favorite atmosphere, by far, in which to do yoga. The staff's friendly, they serve awesome yogi tea after class, the studios are very clean, & they have amazing sound systems & excellent artwork. All 3 locations are a sanctuary from the hustle & bustle outside. Yes, you wait in the open-areas for classes, so I can understand one reviewer's complaint re: feeling like cattle, but nobody expects you to moo, & lots of the attendees are vegetarians, so no worries! The prices're a little high, but you're paying for atmosphere & highly-qualified instructors, & they often offer excellent specials - especially for loyal students. If you want bare-bones, then try other great venues in town. Bottom line: do yoga!

yoga yoga is the mcdonalds of yoga. Which is fine if you are corporate and want a soul-free introduction to the world of yoga. they have the best schedule in town, but only a few great instructors. The way classes were organized felt like I was being shuffled in like cattle and shuffled out again.

Best Yoga studio in town – Yoga Yoga is the best place to practice in town. They have three locations - I go to the north mainly but the Westgate location is nice as well. They have a wide range of Yoga classes to choose from and the instructors don't "Americanize" the classes - they stay true to the basic concepts of Yoga practice. The staff is friendly and the schedule does change. Try one of the workshops out if you are new. Sometimes it can get crowded so show up early. Also, check out their site and PLEASE read the Yoga etiquette section.
