One of the Most traumatic experiences of my life – Beware. She was cold - in, on with the gloves, really quick "any questions?" in a tone that says "I'm only asking b/c I always do, I really want to go now," then out. I was depressed, so I did not recognize her awful bedside manner, felt like I deserved it. I was hypertensive at the end of my pregnancy;she told me I needed to be induced a few days before my due date, I wanted to labor naturally & wanted to give it just a few more days (I checked my pressure hourly @ home and went to the hospital if high, baby was fine). She said I could be killing my baby if I didn't. She handed me a paper about induction, didn't tell me anything about it or what to expect. I had pink eye that day (I knew that's what it was b/c I had already taken my kids to the Dr for it), was in pain, & asked her to help me. She said coldly "you have to see your primary Dr for that." It was Friday, so there was no chance for that. I left in tears over the way she treated me. I was scared of being induced & got no sleep the night b4. I called the hospital & asked if I could get a couple hours sleep before going in. I called after resting, & they were full so I had to reschedule. This Dr who made me feel like I would be killing my baby would not do it the next day; it was her day off. I believe she wanted to induce so I would have the baby during her office hours because I was due that weekend and my cervix was already soft. She is notoriously controlling (as I learned from the nurses) and does not want other Drs delivering her babies. I don't have enough room to say all she did to me during delivery (1 thing, she forced me to get an epidural after I was already 7cm, had the baby 20 minutes after getting it), but the birth of my baby girl should have been a glorious experience as it was with my 2 previous children. It was a traumatic nightmare I couldn't even talk about without crying for over a year. Her office has a policy that you are NOT ALLOWED to switch Drs. Hmm.
