I had my hair and makeup done here for my sweet sixteen and they were so nice and helpful! I had picked a hairstyle and the lady doing my hair steered me in a slightly different direction because my hair was so short. It ended up looking so pretty I'm glad I didn't go anywhere else. Although daireds is not the cheapest it is most definitely worth your money. I had so many compliments!! Love them.
very relaxing facial – I LOVE going here to get a facial. Call me crazy but I just love the smell when I walk in. I leave feeling so refreshed.
Loyal client will not return.. – I have been a client for years....... I had highlights done a week ago, roots were showing..went in for redo....left with blonder hair and roots still showing AND I had to pay for a blowdry (that looked as if a 4 yr old had styled it). I have had my make up applied by Daired's artists who clearly did not know eyeliner from lipliner , had massages that felt as is someone was just rubbing lotion on my body and never said a word.... but after today, I will no longer keep quite and I will no longer waste my money at Daireds. For the money, I get a much better pedicure at Hot Nails on Green Oaks!!!!!!
Poor scheduling - Rates kept changing – I scheduled to have a 'full' done on my daughters hair, along with a cut. When I arrived, the hairdresser informed me that he only had time to do a partial. He said that it was going to cost $125 for the job which I felt was a fair competitive rate but was slightly aggravated that we were being turned away. When we arrived the next day, we learned that they had failed to schedule the cut and could only color her hair...oh, and the price had changed overnight to $175. For such a pricey salon, they don't seem to have their act together. IF I went back, I would ask the scheduler to repeat back everything I needed done, ask for a firm rate and would get her name so I could complain if they tried to jack the rates up on me. Nice facility but too many inconsistencies and inconveniences for me to return.
All my girlfriends are satisfied with a trip to Daired's. – Daired's staff, products, customer service and services are the best in DFW. Daired's set the "bench-mark" for salons in DFW back in the 1980s and maintains the same standard today. This is where I send all my friends (gals and guys). Can't wait for the I-20 store to re-open. I passed by on the Sunday morni...ng and watched it burn. Great to see things come together and I'm looking forward to February. Meanwhile, there are temporary locations so you can still visit. South Cooper and Skyline Dr. Call the number in the left margin to make an appointment. Remember, gift certificates for the holidays.Read More
Horrible Customer Services – The esthetician seems to know her craft, albeit not being the most enthusiastic and attentive esthetician around.
May be she was so busy that day that she didn't pay any attention to the facial mask that she didn't completely peel off of my face. A large patch of the mask was still on the side of my lips, running down to my chin. It looks like I was drooling after a hot Italian male model. But wait, there are more unpeeled patches near my left eye brown. They were all clearly visible when I looked at myself on my car's rear view mirror.
This did not constitute a great facial!
What agitated me even more was how the checkout clerks did not bother to tell me I have patches of the mask left on my face. May be they think I like being a laughing-stock.
So I called the spa the day after. I informed the receptionist about the nature of my call, which is to log a complaint against her staffs. The first thing she did, without bothering to ask me to describe my negative experience, was to offer me some free sample products. How nice and generous, I guess I could end the call right there and be a happy camper, assuming that my goal for the complaint was to get some cheap sample products.
After explaining to her that I don't want any free products, and just want to log a complaint in order for her staffs to provide better customer services in the future, she then told me that the manager isn't in today. She then rudely hung up on me.
May be I should have tipped more than 20 dollars and spend more than $300 in beauty products to receive a more courteous response.
This is the epitome of poor customer services, and it is unacceptable in my book. If you want to be treated with care, respect and dignity, then I suggest you to avoid this place.
The BEST in the area! – After reading the last few reviews I felt that I had to write one of my own that better described my experience! I began seeing the stylists at Daireds Salon two years ago after never really being happy with my color. Not only have I found a colorist and stylist who changed that for me, but all of my friends are now going to them as well! I have not once encountered any rudeness, or unprofessionalism from any of the staff at Daireds. On top of that, I also know for a fact that the stylists are sent to classes and events around the world to be the BEST in the area! I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants skilled, professionals who are truly talented. FIVE STARS!!!
Poor Customer Service – I called here 3 times on 3 different days to inquire about their massage and hair cut services. Each time I called there was a different girl that answered the phone and each and everyone of them were rude! I simply asked some basic pricing information and 2 of them were very rude about helping me, almost as though i was making them work!!! hmm.. they acted like I was putting them out or something. The 3rd actually told me they do not give ANY pricing out over the phone. =0 Not even a basic price for a shampoo and cut. You can just tell these people are stuck up and not interested in the customer services they give, so with that said I am not interested in their services when there are plenty of other salons around.
WOW...that just for partial highlights?!?! – I must say first and foremost that I am usually a fan of Daired's. I have been going there for quite sometime now, so I know that they are not the cheapest salon around. However, I was very disappointed when I went in for partial highlights. I was charged $115!! My hair is not even long and my highlights were very subtle, which is what I asked for. My hairdresser maybe put 10 foils in my hair that may have taken her 15-20 minutes to place. When asked what my charges were, I was told $75 for the partial highlights, which I had anticipated, but then another $40 for a style!! I was under the impression that this service was included in the highlight price!! Was this a misconception that I had, or is this the norm for most salons? If I had been told about the extra charge for style, I would have happily left the salon with wet hair!! Now, I'm just left with a bad taste in my mouth about this...
