WOW this place is BAD!!!!!!!!!!!! : ( – My short and sweet to the point story......
Called up there asking how much to put on my 2002 Yamaha Zuma Tire that I bought. The guy told me 20.00 after fees etc.. GREAT!!! So i PUSH my scooter because i don't own a truck, i have a car. No big deal, half way there and a passing driver gave me a ride the rest of the way. I only liveless the half a mile away from Firestone so no big deal there either there. I get out and my ride takesoff and I go in and tell him/ the guy I spoke to on the phone, Hand him the tire and he says " oh we don't do those " I said I just spoke with YOU on the phone with the year make and model and you said 20.00!!!!! He said " oh well i thought it was a car." ' I said on the phone 2002 Yamaha Scooter ' He just kinda of blew me off and was a total no caring punkl!! No apology, no ANYTHING!!! two thumbs down!!!!!! Will NEVER be back and if i hear anyone about to go there i will do my best to show them why NOT to go here!!!!!
Is this an official Firestone location??? – I checked the Firestone webpage for the closest location and it did not bring up Bastrop.
I second the poor service remark.... – This place proves how inefficient and unprofessional the industry can be. I may not be certified ASE but I have NEVER taken a car apart before confirming I had the right parts.
So I went in to plan the work ahead. I told them what I needed done and that I was willing to pay for the parts ahead of time to minimize the wait and maximize efficiency... They seemed confident and told me they opened at 7am. They did. However, no one was available for a courtesy ride until 9am and the parts weren't pre-ordered as arranged so wouldn't be there until 10:30. They are fully aware that I work the graveyard shift and had stayed up after a twelve hour shift to bring the car in. I finally get a ride and wake up at 4:30 because no one has called me. They say they will pick me up after 6 when the shop closes for me to pick up my jeep, and then call me 45 minutes later to let me know that they just noticed that they had the wrong parts (at 5:15) and that there was nothing they could do. They offered no assistance, or accommodations of any kind. The staff was as friendly as lake full of crocs.
Really???? Customer service is not just dead, but extinct in this location.
I am a single woman living halfway across the country from anyone I know, the car rental place has no cars, and they don't offer loaners or any kind of accommodation when it is their fault? So I bear the brunt of the poor planning with my apparently endless and non-valuable free time. Don't bother unless its something basic that will ensure you are back on your busy and important way asap. Good Luck in your search. If I find a reliable and service oriented local mechanic for moderate to major repairs I will post.
Poor Service all the way around! – After listening to two bad reports from my customers, and despite they're personal experience, I proceeded to find out for myself.
Arrived at 7:30am on saturday to get my car alined, was the first customer to get a work order written up.
Was asked if I was going to wait, which I was, but was never informed of the wait time (didn't think I should have to ask).
At 11:30am my car was finaly brought in, and worked on, it was done thirty minutes later, no test drive before or after work was done.
Dirty finger prints on my white paint job, and the steering wheel is still off to the left, tire pressures were not checked, as requested.
Staff upon arriving in the morning were not friendly, and even passing by the bays, they just glared at you.
Considering I have been introduce to the owner Jeff several times and have gotten the same reaction from him, why would his team players act any different.
This make it abundantly clear, and confirmed what I had been told by my customers.
I will not do business with Bastrop Tire and Automotive, nor will I send my customers to them, and would hope that you (a possible customer) will heed my words and make the right choice by saving your self the agony I and others have had.
How sad, and too bad for a local shop, I will be doing my business in Austin.
Maybe Jeff shouldn't be on the Bastrop SBA commitee, if this is the way he's going to conduct business.
