Bad Restaurant – I went to Tin Star with a buddy. I wasn't incredibly hungry so I ordered a kid's burger which came to $5, no big deal. However, the burger wasn't exactly a burger, there was maybe 1/10 of a pound of meat on it and a few french fries for $5.
My buddy ordered some chicken tacos for $11, pretty pricey. What he got was some rice and beans, then 20 minutes later he got his 2 tacos, which were mediocre at best.
Avoid this restaurant if you hate spending a ton of money for bad food!
I am a fan! – My family loves the food that tin star provides! I have never had a bad meal or bad customer service. It is inexpensive and I can't say a single negative thing about it. I recommend the traditional quesadillas!
This Southwestern and Tex-Mex chain with the cowboy motifs serves quick orders. – In Short
So why the success? Maybe it's the black bean cheese quesadilla samples by the door. Or the smoky grilled tomato queso. Or the "patented cheeseburger taco culinary extravaganza." Poster-size menus hang from the ceiling near the central order station, creating a fast-food vibe. Grilled veggie tacos are popular and carnivores can devour a bleu cheese bacon burger.
Creative Casual Tex-Mex – Tin Star puts a new spin on Tex-Mex with items like cheeseburger tacos (not your typical enchilada place). I personally love how you can get the demi-glazed potatoes in half of their tacos. Salsas are great, too.
AWESOME – I went to eat there when visiting my brother and sister in law.....the food is so good. I love the salsa that they have and they have mild and wow. I like the wow, cause I like spicy, but it's not the ordinary run of the mill salsa, it's like a black bean, corn type which you just don't see when you go out to mexican food places. Not only that, but it's quick, fast and yummy! You can also get breakfast, lunch or dinner, which is great. My brother is obsessed with it, but really I can't blame him, it was very tasty.
