Keep up the good work! – Thank you so much! Great experience! SM
Thank Heaven for Comfort Wigs – I lost my hair, not due to cancer--was a hormone issue but, still, beyond devastating. I did not have an appointment, but Don spent literally hours with me, very patiently allowing me to try on virtually every wig in the shop. When I found one I felt would work, he trimmed it up so that it was not obvious I was wearing a wig. I received all sorts of compliments at work. So my experience with Don was very positive. I also met his assistant, Barbara, who assists women with prosthesis and found her to be very kind and compassionate. She assisted me that day and made me feel as though I was there shopping with my best friend. I would highly recommend Comfort Wigs.
Extremely Disappointed – If I could give it less than 1 star - I would. I have to echo what others have said of Don - very rude and uncaring. He is dealing with women who have suffered through cancer, chemotherapy, and who know what else and all he wants is your money. He will over charge you so he gets paid not only by the insurance company - but also by you. Barbara - the only other employee there - is not much better - she trys, but is very slow at filling orders and NEVER calls back - I always had to contact her to find out if my order came in. I finally got so frustrated that I drove the extra time to Irving to Survivor Gals. I highly reccommend them. They were very helpful and I had what I wanted in less than one week without having to pay a penny. I had tried to get what I wanted from Comfort wigs for over 2 months and it was going to cost me $40-glad I never got it. I will NEVER set foot in that door again - don't care how convenient it is.
Avoid Comfort Wigs – Very unprofessional shop. Don, the owner is a rude, arrogant and obnoxious little man. NEVER go to these folks. They couldn
NEVER AGAIN!! – I felt uncomfortable at Comfort Wigs at my very first visit. The only reason I returned is that it was convenient to my work and I needed a wig, due to chemotherapy. Don is arrogant and rude. He answered personal phone calls while he was supposed to be helping me. He also spent most of his time on other walk-in customers when I had appointments. He is full of himself and if you don't agree that he is just awesome (which his co-worker constantly informs you about), he treats you like dirt. My wig does not fit and when I complained that I didn't like how he fixed the hair, he just walked out and left me sitting there. It is well worth the drive to SURVIVOR GALS in Fort Worth or Plano!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!! – I was recently diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer and I came to Comfort Wigs to meet with "Don" (owner) because I am about to start chemo and wanted a wig ASAP.
This was my first experience in a wig shop, much less with cancer and I didn't know whether to cry or punch him by the time we left! This man showed ABSOLUTELY NO compassion for me or my friends/family who were there with me for support. Not only was he insensitive, he was also rude and arrogant (with no reason as his shop is a dump).
I say, if you want a comforting, pleasant experience, ESPECIALLY if it is your FIRST experience - STEER CLEAR OF COMFORT WIGS!!!!!!!!
Exceeds Expectations! – Even my daughter did not know I was wearing a wig! They cut and styled it on my head and billed my insurance company.
