29.423027 -98.484543Manager was hiding. My experience at this place could not have been worse. There were 6 of us and every order had a problem. Complained to the manager and things weren't rectified. Tried to get manager again and he wouldn't come out of the kitchen. Bill was cut in half and if we could have gotten the manager to come back out , we wouldn't have paid the bill at all, but we paid half just to get out of there.
Horrible Food !!!. My husband and I came to San Antonio to celebrate his birthday, we had a great time until we decided to stop at Steer & Beer for dinner, (he wanted a steak), the waiter was nice enough, but the food was horrible. My husband ordered the T-Bone medium and I ordered the Ribeye Medium Well, my steak came out pretty raw and his was way overcooked, so we ended up switching food rather than complain. Seemed like the T-Bone was cooked on a George Foreman grill, it had fake grill marks and was very fatty, the baked potato was way overcooked and the price was WAY high, we paid $16 each for the steaks, we will visit San Antonio again, but will NOT go back to this place.
Best steaks and seafood in town. My friends and I felt like family at Steers & Beers. We were greeted promptly and our waitress couldn't have been nicer! The food was outstanding. Our next trip to San Antonio will certainly include a dinner at our new favorite restaurant....Steers & beers!
Steer clear of Steers and Beers. I should have known better when the Hostess was rude to begin with (first impressions are usally accurate). Being greeted by a rude Hostess should have been a sign as to the overall experience of this place. Seating a party of six at a table of four was a major hassle when there were plenty of vacant tables ( and being on crutches, the staff could care less) even after complaining about the seating the staff did nothing. Food prep was poor and very over priced. Cold baked potatoes, no cocktail sauce with shrimp, ever cooked chicken, burnt hamberger to list a few. Bad experience overall
Great value on the river!. wonderful period/rustic design with comfortable atmosphere for fun and great food. we stayed after for the karaoke in their hayloft bar. An overall good time and value in a normally pricey tourist area.
