Can't beat the lunch specials - great price.. I went to Royal Cafe for the first time today, and it was a pleasant experience. They have a great lunch menu with specials starting at $4.25 which is terrific. Each special comes with rolls, soup, and an entree with choice of potato (except pasta dishes). When I left I was full and satisfied. People at our table sampled liver and onions, veal parmesan, and fried clams. Each portion was large enough to satisfy most every person (unless you live at a buffet bar). Sampled soups were chicken noodle and cheddar broccoli. Both were given thumbs up. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Nice family restaurant. Coffee was typical family restaurant fare, but refills were plentiful. Small and cozy - it's not the place I'd normally try, but now that I have, I'll definitely return. If you work in Mt. Clemens and are looking for a new place to have lunch, give Royal Cafe a try.
