Traditional Italian Done Right!!
Traditional Italian Done Right!!
This has been one of my favorite restaurants for the past 5 years and they just keep getting better. We came in last night and ordered the mussel appetizer (new on the menu) and were blown away by the taste and the price - only $9. The staff was very attentive and the manger checked on us twice! Thank you for another great experience, we'll be back soon.
Beware! Rip-OFF!!. Had two of their BOGO coupons. We had 5 people and one wasn't hungry so just ordered a salad. Service was s-l-o-w...noisy too, but there weren't many full tables so they crowded everyone in the same section. Manager called everyone "honey" "sweetie" and "sunshine" and was soo condescending, we were really put off. Wanted to gag! Food was good though. Bill came and instead of subtracting two of the dinners, they took the salad off as one. Manager said it counts as a meal. Heck the 4 beverages we were required to purchase to use the coupons, cost more than the salad. Felt like a true rip-off. Out to screw the customer. Now we know why they had no customers in the place. Beware!
Best Banquet accomidations!!!!!!.
I just recently had a party at Larco's for our engagement reception...
I initially wanted the party to be at our home for the at home feel for the evening--but at the same time I didn't want all the mess and headache of the planning to ruin the big night.. I was taken by surprise at the amazing service we were given planning the dinner,
The party was a success!!!! The food was generous and delicious and the banquet servers and manager did a fantastic job!
I will be back!!
Rudest people I have ever met. I have never been treated ruder by the "banquet manager" who was also a bad waiter. When we asked to speak to the manager the owner came out and completely took his side. Not only is the food average at best the customer service is TERRIBLE. There are way classier options out there!! Don't waste your time or gamble your night on this place. Give your business to a place that would actually appreciate it.
Large portions. Our first mistake was making sure to get there during happy hour only to be told that it's only happy hour in the bar. (So the lesson is to stop in the bar and have a drink before getting a table). Our second mistake was not going there completely famished. We ordered a calamari diablo appetizer -- lightly fried, very tasty with nice marinara sauce -- which would have been a good appetizer for four. After eating that, a piece of bread and the large salads that came with our meals, we were pretty much full. Oh yeah, and a little apertif plate with shrimp, salami, peppers and black olives too. For the entree, my wife had the frutti di mare (seafood) spaghetti. She was disappointed in the texture -- not "al dante" enough for her taste. However she is very picky in this regard and most people around these parts would probably find it just fine. I had the seared scallops. It was nice but I couldn't enjoy it since I was already full. We packed up 75% of our dinners. Of course part of the reason we packed it in so quickly was so that we could order dessert. The desserts were also very large. We selected a yummy tiramisu, one of which could easily provide dessert for three people (or four in Japan). The server was very friendly and helpful with navigating the wine and food menus. The atmosphere was a little informal (wooden tables, no tablecloths) even though the prices were a little on the formal side ($20 pastas, $30 entrees). We ended up spending $120 on two which includes $20 of wine. All things considered, a good value for the money.
Unbelievable Food. I had one of the best meals of my life at Larco's West Bloomfield. I came with my family we ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. I was stunned at the size of them. Couldnt have been happier then that, but when my Filet Siciliano came out and i dipped it in that zip sauce i knew i was in heaven. The service, ambience, and food are all top notch. And the price is very reasonable. It's impossible to leave this restaurant hungry. Happy hour is good for half the price.
