Horrible service. I tried to get an HP ProBook with Krex. I ordered it on Thurs @ 8am. They had no communicatiion with me at all during the process- no email. Nothing. I started calling them on Friday late morning just to make sure the order was received. I was sent to a voicemail. I left a message. Nothing. Called back a few hours later and spoke with someone who could NOT check my order status. He said they'd call me back. I called again a few hours- "let me check if the person who can help you is available"- he referenced that I needed to talk to the manager and he had been in meetings... really? I need to wait for the manager to call me back to check on my order status? Really? Told the guy that I needed to hear back by end of business day, gave him my cell. Nothing. Called back at 5:30pm CST. Was on hold for 19 minutes. Finally talked to "Al" (manager?). He had poor communication skills, short on the phone. Was not at all apologetic about anything. Said he had an ETA of 9/3. I asked him to cancel the order. Good riddance. Fun fact too- when you are on hold on the phone, they're spiel advertises computers they custom build... and they can put in a 5 and 1/4 or 3 and 1/2 inch FLOPPY drive. REALLY!?!?!?! Krex appears to be stuck in 1986 when they were founded. Horrendous. Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!
Great service – I am very satisfied with the service I have received from Krex Computers, Inc in Morton Grove last week. Al was very professional and saved my company a lot of money for a new program I would have to buy.
I will go back to see them every time I will have problem with my computers and I will highly recommend their service.
Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced! – I ordered an item that was apparently in stock at the time my order was placed but 3 weeks later still have not received it. I only live one State away so shipping should not take that long. I have called 3 times and emailed 4 times and have not had a single response to any of my inquiries. THIS COMPANY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Their prices may be lower than other sites but the frustration is not worth the discount. I will never order from them again, nor will I recommend anyone else to order from them
Very satisfied with Krex Computers – I have been using Krex for over 6 years. I bought my first Krex PC from them in 2004 and it still works! I just bought my 5th PC from them. I always felt confident because I knew if I had a problem they would fix it and they have. I am very satisfied and would recommend them to everyone.
Slow in service – I'm writing this review after reading the negative review posted by rcarey78 as I had a similar experience recently and people should know about this questionable company. I bought from Krex Computers at the suggestion of a friend who had purchased some items from them with good results. One of the computer parts I received was DOA and Krex was hard to get in touch with. Employees answer the phone but the people in charge of customer claims are nearly impossible to connect with. Took several months to get the item replaced and I still had to pay for shipping a second time. Had no problems with the other parts I received though.
Sold me broken product and wont replace or exchange – First off I would give no star but this review post requires at least 1 star. Back in April 2009 I bought a Marshal Electronics mic from Krex Computers. The item was "new" and the price was good. When I recieved the product only one side of the mic worked (its a duel diaphragm mic) and the side that worked didn't work well. I tried contacting them the next day and continued to try over and over again but the person (manager by the name of Sunil) in charge of returns and refunds wouldn't answer or return my phone call. After a couple of months of going back and fourth with staff there I was able to get the manager on the phone through tricking them, but that didn't help as he pretended he never got a call or message from from me (on my phone bill I and one of my staff had called them 28 times and sent emails). I of course was upset but remand professional... to bad he did not. Wouldn't send a replacement or refund as he said it was past their "20 day policy" for refunds. What a joke! I argued the point more (being that I called them the very next day after recieving the mic) and then he said he couldn't give me a replacement anyway because they didn't have one, still refused to give me a refund. So he said he would check with his boss and see if they can "make an exception" for me... never called me back and still will not return calls or emails. One more thing, he kept saying talk to Marshal about the warranty... but Marshal wont warranty anything from Krex as they are not an authorized dealer and something about counterfeit equipment- seems Krex has done this before. Now I'm the proud owner of a $125 dollar paper weight. So should you buy from Krex Computers? Ha, if you want to give your money away!
