Scrooge works here - No good deed goes unpunished? – Rolly: No good deed goes unpunished?

Brian Gibson has the Salt Lake City franchise of 1-800-GOT-JUNK, a junk-hauling company with franchises in the U.S., Canada and Austria.

As a small-business owner here, Gibson has involved his company in local charity work, especially food drives for the Utah Food Bank.

So last Wednesday, as he and his employees have done for the past several years, Gibson left his 1-800-GOT-JUNK truck at the Jiffy Lube on about 1600 South and Foothill Drive, which in conjunction with X-96 Radio, was sponsoring a food drive for the food bank and collecting canned goods and frozen turkeys to give to the needy during the holidays.

The drive ended about 7:30 p.m. and Gibson’s truck was filled with turkeys. He didn’t have employees around to take the turkeys to the food bank that night, so he had his driver leave the truck in an LDS Church parking lot across the street from the Jiffy Lube. They figured the turkeys would be OK because it was cold enough, and nobody else was parked in the lot, so they wouldn’t disturb anything for an overnight stay.

But when Gibson’s employees went to retrieve the truck about 7:45 the next morning, it was gone. The truck had a GPS tracking device, so they were able to track it to a residential neighborhood in Sugar House.

It turns out, someone complained about the truck being parked overnight, and Big Tow towing service was summoned to haul it away. Gibson apologized to the tow truck driver about where he had parked, but said it was being used for charity and asked if he could get a break?

Nope.

His employees, to save the turkeys, pulled up their cars and took them out of the back of the truck, while it was still on the tow truck, so they could deliver them to the food bank. Gibson had to pay $330 to get his truck, which has the company’s telephone number in large numbers on its side, and which someone could have called to have the truck moved but didn’t.

Perhaps this business should have done the right thing. Hope he and the LDS Church enjoyed stealing $330 out of the mouths of children and can still sleep at night....

Possibly the worlds biggest douchebag – Ok so i had my car impounded. I know huh. Well any how. I called for a price for the impound and it kept changing. He would ignore my request to come get my vehical and then try and charge more everytime. I called several times and he refused to show up. So everyday the storage fee kept going up. I finally get there to get my car and half my stuff was missing. This douche stole my stuff!!!! Do not ever deal with this looser. I also spoke to an apparent customer during one of my visits to his dump. That person was getting the exact same treatment. This person some how had the bad idea to buy a car from this reject and never received the title. When that person did, it was for a car that wasn't even the one they had purchased. So I am sure he got screwed as well. And lets talk about the towing yard. This place was a mess. I am sure there are mass EPA violations going one here. I can't believe my car was held here. Then I check my car and someone had damaged it. When I called him on it he told me to "F" off and threatened me with bodily harm. I mean really? I am debating whether this ass even had the right to tow my car in the first place. So then I read the reviews here and do my own digging. And what did i find? Exactly what number1dad found. This guy owes money to everyone omg. Criminal background the whole nine yards. I can't believe anyone would give a business licence to this rip off artist. I am sure if anyone posts a good review here it is probably the owner himself. I hope someone puts this douche out business.

Best towing and mechanic shop – This company was fantastic. I had a car towed and was able to pick it up from them the next day. They made sure that my personal belongings were well taken care of and handled my vehicle with the utmost care. The Owner in my opinion was very professional and treated me with only respect and kindness and I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking for exceptional service.

The owner is a deadbeat in many aspects... – Upon having possibly the worst customer service experience ever, I decided to check this business out a little bit more. Which lead me to find out about the owner/operator.

This guy belongs in Jail. Not only does he go out of his way to be rude, confrontational, and flex and bend/break the laws into his favor, but some fairly easy background checking shows an extremely ugly criminal history not to mention the fact that he personally is behind on child support over $20,000 dollars.

There are leins placed on all his holdings both personal and his business and I hope anyone that reads this looking for a tow moves onto a reputable towing service. This guy reminds me of the guys that acted in that movie Deliverence.

STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. THIS GUYS A RIPOFF ARTIST. And a Deadbeat Dad which isn't surprising.

worst service ever!!!!! – I called up to get my car out of their towing lot the man would not give me his name or his supervisor was extremely rude i asked for the owner he said yeah sure i am the owner lied to me about submitting my car to take over the title the day prior to my call then said yes i could come pay to get it out and that he didnt submit it if I had the money to get it out. He insinuated that they sabotaged my car and that it wasn't worth paying to get it out do not go here and tell everyone you know not to go here either this is the worst place of business on the face of the planet
