Unlock iPhone for $150. I didnt get my iPhone until 5 weeks later. Also, something is Missing inside my phones. Not to be racist, but I do not those Blk people working in there.
Sold me a STOLEN iPhone – Sold me a STOLEN PHONE!!
I purchased what I was told was a "factory unlocked iPhone" from World of Wireless. after using it for a couple weeks, I needed to upgrade the software in order for it to sync all the apps from my iPod Touch. When I attempted to upgrade the sofware by plugging it into iTunes on my computer, an error message appeared that said I had to restore it to the factory settings - I pressed ok, then another error message popped up. When I unplugged the phone, all that would come up on the screen was a usb icon and the itunes logo. I brought it to the Apple Store where they were able to tell me in about 2 seconds that the phone was reported stolen in Spain and still attached to a carrier in Spain. They were unable to fix it as it was now "bricked".
World of Wireless refused to give me my money back, they said they could exchange it for another iPhone- for a restocking fee!! I will never do business here again. They said they could restore it - and when I said that Apple said it was bricked and there was othing to be done with it- the answer was "Apple says alot of things..." and "since the phone was not reported stolen in the US, its really not their problem."
Do not go to this place for anything.
disappointing – I dropped off a phone to get a lcd fixed. They said that it would be a day or they would call me to let me know if they needed to order parts. I didn't hear for a few days, so I called, and they said they would order parts. I stopped in a couple of more times and called three times. After 2 1/2 weeks, they said that it wasn't worth fixing. I got this information only after I went to the shop, they kept putting me on hold at the store.
Citysearch Editorial Review – There’s nothing fancy about this St. Paul joint overflowing with used and new cell phones. The small space feels more a like pawn shop, where gadget-filled cells sit pretty--and some like broken, pieced-together puzzles--inside glass cases and alongside fancy accessories, some of which are came in naked or were taken out of their package by the sales staff. Still, despite its somewhat scruffy surroundings, the best thing about W.O.W are the deals. There are no contracts. No years of staying tied to your provider. No “breaks” for signing your cellular rights away. Instead, you can walk out with a used phone or PDA (or a new one) that will get you through till the next really cool Google phone is released.
Worl Of Wireless – Great sales team who are direct to the point and knowledgeable. But remember people this is just another place of business that is looking to make their money. I stopped in to look at the pricing of the cell phones and found them to be 1/3 to 1/2 more expensive then competitors.
For example a particular pre-pay phone I was intrested in was 49.99 at the WOW and 29.99 on the providers website and 29.99 at leading electronics stores such as Best Buy and Radio Shack. So please shop around before dropping the dollar at the WOW.
