Heather Wencel Ruined Our Experience Here – I went with my brother to support him when he went in to to get his wart lazered on June 23rd 2011. This was his 4th visit to the clinic. I was horrified at how he was treated. In previous visits the specialist, Heather Wencel, did not do a thorough treatment and when he mentioned this to her, Heather denied that there were any untreated areas without looking where he had pointed. This was humiliating to watch, I can't imagine how my brother must have felt.
Yes, warts do often need frequent treatments, but they were so unkind to him. She didn't seem to grasp that his foot needs to heal for some time before they can give another treatment. With what she was advising, they may as well have just cut off both his toes.
I was hoping to ask Heather some questions or state some concerns but any attempt to have a dialogue was quickly cut-off. In fact, Heather Wencel asked for silence while she was treating him, but just a few seconds later she began to talk to us, which was confusing and scary because she was holding the lazer gun. When we responded to her that we would like her to concentrate and not talk as -she- had asked for, we were told we were being rude and that she had asked us not to speak! When she had finished treating him she prepared to leave the room WITHOUT applying band-aids to his burned toes. (My mother asked her to do it).
Heather Wencel had no gentle bedside manner or compassion, or ability to work with my brother. When my brother started to tremble slightly, she asked very abruptly if he had eaten any breakfast and "-Why- are you shaking?". DUH. Can't she see the toes turning black and blue? Does she not know how painful the treatment is?
DO NOT GO THERE. We offered them feedback and told them we were uncomfortable with Heather, and they called us back the same day to tell us that they will not treat my brother anymore. This is truly unprofessional conduct. Now we are looking for another clinic and it will cost extra for the intake appointment when he probably only needs 1 more treatment.
I had a horrible experience. I left feeling humiliated. My dermatologist was not friendly. She came in and instantly prescribed me a cream without reading the notes entered into the system by the nurse/assistant. She did not answer my questions or listen to my concerns. The nurse/assistant was very friendly and answered what she could after the doctor left the room.
Also, the front desk was not was not customer service oriented. I came in and was not greeted for sometime.
I will never come back here again, I left crying and angry. My dermatologist was not professional or caring.
excellent care – I've been treated for basal cell carcinoma for 5 years and the Dr. and staff have always treated me respectfully and with excellent medical attention. My daughter is on accutane and the nurse practitioner following her is also excellent. I haven't sought out cosmetic treatment at these clinics but if you need excellent dermatology care I highly recommend this clinic.
TERRIBLE SERVICE...AVOID THIS PLACE!!! – If you need a dermatology (either for medical or cosmetic purposeds) AVOID this place. They are SO RUDE and incompetent. The receptionist double billed me. I talked to a friend and the same thing happened to her. We are warning everyone to stay far away from this from this place. Even though I had a 1PM appt, I wasn't even seen until almost 2PM and didn't even get an apology. This place has horrible customer service and I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone!!
Total disregard for patient time – I arrived at the office at 12:43 on Friday, September 12. I waited for 15 minutes before being placed in an exam room. Not once did anyone tell me the doctor was running behind. The medical asst came and took my medical history and said the doctor would be in shortly. I waited over 30 minutes - not once did anyone come and tell me the doctor was running behind or apologize. I walked out of the office. I explained to the receptionist that my time is just as important as the doctors. I went back to work not seeing anyone. I had waited 4 weeks to get in. No one from the clinic called to apologize. I have found that since dermatology offices have gotten into the "cosmetic - spa" business, patient care has gone downhill. I would think twice about coming here or at least just see one of the Physician Assistants. The service I received from her was excellent.
