Convenient and easy for working mom – I recently switched my girls’ pediatrician from Polyclinic to Group Health and I’ve so far been really happy. Their doctor actually called me on my cell phone the other day because she was going through their old (hand written) charts from the Polyclinic and had some questions about tests that were done and didn't have the results listed. Of course I knew the result but I was blown away that the doctor would take time on a Friday to review the charts herself, call me and ask if I had any questions, which I actually did.

I love the ability to e-mail mine and my girl’s doctor, see their immunizations (so great for daycare) and the ability to schedule a phone call to discuss my daughter’s allergy test results instead of spending ½ a day off from work to get my daughter and take her to the doctor when all I needed was to talk to her. Also, they don’t charge me a co-pay for the call! Sweet!

I don’t know how we survived before Group Health they have us all organized and their doctors and my test results are at my fingertips when I need them. So nice to have something in my life be so easy.

I finally like healthcare, as long as it's Group Health – Since I moved out to Seattle I've had Group Health and wish I had this type of care my whole life - I used to have a big Blue PPO when I lived in Tennessee.

My whole family is with Group Health and the care we've gotten has been great, but that's to be expected from a doctor.

What's been better than any other healthcare experience to me is the fact that I have never had to worry about the paper work - no E.I.B.s or phone calls to see if I need to pay some random bill or anything. Group Health has always just taken care of all that stuff and I never have to think about it.

Ironically, I think I know more about healthcare and my own health now that I don't have to worry about it.

Thank you Group Health.

I like GHC – I've been a GHC member for over five years now with no major complaints. My primary physician, based at Capital Hill, has been great. The main drawback is that they don't have an urgent care location in Lynnwood or Shoreline. additionally, the pediatricians at the Lynnwood clinic have always been really good with my kid.

Worst people ever met at GroupSicko – The #1 WORST experience in my life. I went to get a pap test at Group Health,

when I was in the room waiting for the doctor to show up (took over 47 minutes waiting) I found a syringe laying on the table underneath the paper sheet that is placed on the patients sitting apparatus. I told the nurse and she took it away without saying a word. Then when the health care provider finally came in and I was waiting for her to get her gloves on and lubricant out somebody knocked on the door for her, she left the room with the door open while I was laying with the gown on and my feet up in the air. I had to get up and close the door myself so I would have privacy. Then when she came back into the room she dropped the speculum on the ground and was going to insert it into me without re-sterilizing it first. At this point I said NO WAY! I never went back again. Luckily my employer offers a CHOICE of health insurance plans so I?m not stuck with Group Health?s services.

I feel really sorry for people who don?t have any other health insurance options; these HMO?s rely on having desperate consumers otherwise Group Health would do more to retain it?s consumers um I mean customers.
