they are overcharging – I went to the Evergreen clinic for an annual checkup, to dr. Brown.
He charged me as a doctor visit and annual checkup, because I asked for vit D blood test.
Vit D test should be part of an annual checkup, because it’s preventative care.
But he said - everybody in Seattle is deficient, so you don't need test, just take a supplement. I said- I am already taking supplement, I want to know where is my blood level now.
So he double charged the visit. I will never go there again.
evergreen clinic works with my family – I have had very good experiences at the Evergreen Clinic. My biggest complaint is that of scheduling. At times I can't get in as soon as I want. I am being seen for medication and marriage counseling. My kids are seen. I've been pleased with the treatment and progress. I haven't had problems with them taking money or demanding at the front area. They are a business. The doctors and counselors are very helpful.
Be very careful and do your research. I felt I too was led to a quick diagnosis and thrown on medication that was not right for me. Whether or not it was to make money or not, I felt that I was not listened to and my needs came second to what they thought was best for me. I went there at a young age and was vulnerable and impressionable, and feel that I may have been taken advantage of. However, I still remember some of the tools I gained with my counselor there and still use today to work through family issues. Very educated, but be very careful.
Dr. Rogge is apathetic - gets you hooked on prescriptions – I saw Dr.. Rogge for 2 years. During that time, he got me physically hooked on one medication without explaining why he prescribed it, what it does, and the dangers of getting physically hooked on it. With regard to prescriptions, there is no rhyme or reason to the amounts re-filled. It seems like he just wants to maintain his business and give you whatever you want without any guidance. He is apathetic, except when it comes to controlled substances. If you take too much, he will force you to reduce for the sole reason of protecting his license. Once you get to a lower level, he will prescribe it forever. If you run out prematurely, even if its valid reason, he will not re-fill it, nor be willing to meet with you. On the occasion I ran out early, he simply refused to re-fill five pills early, without explanation. Even the pharmacist was surprised by his incredible insensitivity. I had horrible with withdrawal symptoms for days.
The most dangerous aspect is that he allowed me to continue on benzodiazepines despite my directly asking him if he knew why my memory was getting real bad. In fact, he never explained that the loss of memory was due to ongoing use. He never explained that the damage due to ongoing long-term use may be permanent. I had to find it out for myself. Either he was not current on the latest findings (by latest I mean 2005!!), or he just didn't care. I suspect it was the later.
He outward persona of professionalism masks his desire to simply make money. He's ultimately a dangerous person to go to.
