Bland with no appeal when you are there in person - but worse when you order takeout and it arrives cold and bland – This restaurant has zero appeal on all levels. This is far from authentic Thai food. There is zero flavor, and nothing they use is fresh. The appeal of Thai foods are the unique flavors and freshness, there are way too many other choices in this city to waste too much time here.
RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!!!-- Not one fresh thing in this food!! – OMG SICK SICK SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK-- The ingredients are NOT fresh -- they are rubbery and gross gross gross !!!!! Yep it is cheap- but OMG there is a reason!!!!!! Seriously - there are some GREAT places in this city and this is not one of them- -Give a gander to the kitchen when you are in there- that will make you run out the door in a hurry!!!!
Editorial Review – Uptown storefront dishes up cheap Thai noodle, soup and curry dishes.
A disappointment... – I placed a late delivery order this evening, and the order taker didn't speak English that well and had difficulty even understanding my address - she passed the phone on to someone who did. The cucumber salad was strangely made with lettuce, the chicken satay was obviously cooked on a griddle or in a pan as opposed to grilled, and the chicken pad thai was just average (I've had better at Big Bowl and other places). Altogether with delivery it was just over $20, I suppose the portion size was bigger than most places so it was more of a value, but a big plate of average is just that. Good for a late dinner alone, but don't plan on entertaining with this stuff.
A Thai-ny Gem in Uptown – My husband and I are always on the lookout for inexpensive, great thai food and Thai Aroma fits the bill. My favorite dish is the chicken curry panang and I have learned to order extra chicken for $1 extra which turns this dish into a meal with plenty of leftovers. Thai Aroma is also an inexpensive favorite for our out-of-town guests and the fact that it is a BYOB makes it even better.
Good and Fast – I have been going to the restaurant for a couple of years and it has really improved. The food is good and it is always served fast and hot. It is fairly inexpensive and there are always left overs.
Tasty, inexpensive Thai food – I enjoy eating here at least once a week. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. You can order spiciness on a scale of 1 to 6, with 6 being the spiciest -- it really packs a wallop! Tofu can be substituted for meat in any dish, just ask. My favorites are the Green Curry Noodle and the Yellow Curry with Chicken. Lunch specials are $4.99 and come with appetizer, but the entree portions can be meager at times. Carryout and delivery available.
Disappointing little hole in the wall – I walk by this place all the time, and the savory aromas coming from the restaurant made decide to look into it. While the place is clean and comfortable, the food is disappointing. The pad lad nar was way too soupy and the springrolls were very doughy and loosely rolled. Service is friendly, but a little spacey.
