Best Churrascaria – The best by far. Only go here. The salad bar is huge, everything is fresh and of high quality. Mojitos and caiparinas are very good. They keep bringing the food no matter what you do. This place is a yearly tradition for me.

Super disappointed- All quantity, no quality – My boyfriend and I made reservations for our 4th anniversary for 7 p.m. The place was very busy, but by the time 7:40 rolled around we had still not been seated, so I sent the boyfriend up to get an update. The hostess looks at the sheet of paper and says "You're next" and offered no explanation or apology. I think they forgot us. But I was determined to brush this off and enjoy the occasion and the meal, but we really were both very disappointed.

The meat was not good. If I had been served any of them as a main course I would have sent them back. The lamb was cold and well done, the filet chewy and bland. We had a pork rib that was literally inedible, and the other pork we had, a Parmesan crusted piece, was equally disgusting. The only really good piece of meat I ate was the rib eye, and that had more to do with rib eye being a delicious piece of meat than anything else.

It was all quantity and no quality, like an incredibly expensive Old Country Buffet. I love quantity and I was really looking forward to a big meal, but I also expected the quality that $50/plate should provide.

I know of a lot of people who really liked this place, so I'm not sure if we had a random bad experience, or if they just like the fact that there's more meat than anyone could ever eat, but I won't be going back.

Brazzaz is better! Definitely – The environment and Staff are nice, but we go there for the food right? This was my 2nd time there and the entire visit all the meat that was served to me was either cold or pure salt. I couldn't believe it, Why does it have to be one or the other? We were there for over an hour and a half and all the meat was extremely cold like the kept walking around with it serving it all until it was gone. To be purely honest, if you're visiting Chicago, there is nothing better than Brazzaz. I've been to both and Brazzaz is much more consistent across the board, and the meat is dead on perfect EVERYTIME!...don't waste your money or time and go to Brazzaz instead. -TP

Amazing meat! – I thought the beef was amazing, and the service was awesome. There was never a time when there wasn't fresh meat on my plate. It's a must for men who love grilling and lots of meat. chicagoweekendfun dot com

as good as rio – If you want to be transported to the excesses of meat and Brazil go to Fogo de Chao. It is the most reliable import since Gisele Bunchen. Succulent meat, great salad bar and gauchos. It is authentic and delivers both quantity and flavor. Don't go out ot eat, instead go to San Paulo or Rio (and you don't have to even worry about being kidnapped).

Two Thumbs Up Fogo, excellent all around!!!!! – Well done fogo de chao, awesome service and food, very on point servers and waiters.I have been to most brazilian steakhouses in chicago i would rate Fogo first hands down, then brazzaz, sal and carvao and lastly texas de brazil. The manager approached our table and introduced himself and was very open to comments, i mentioned it was me and my wife's anniversary just to find a very nice decorated cake brought to us on the house.don't even think twice about it go to Fogo, Good Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best in Chicago – I've been to Fogo de Chao many many times, from our wedding anniversary to the featured spot for a Girl's Night Out and the service and food never disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is out of this world. The salad bar is MORE than just salad. They offer many cuts of meat and often ask if there's anything specific you'd like sent to your table. Priced the same as the other Brazilian steakhouses, but the experience is always better. If you're going to go out and spend the money, spend it at a place like Fogo where you'll feel like your business is welcome and appreciated.

Fantastic Food, Service and Experience – A real treat! Both the food and the service were fantastic. Make sure to come hungry because you want to make sure you get your moneys worth. (I heard the salad bar is also quite impressive)

Great Brazilian Food!! – Very nice staff, quite friendly. We just walked in and got seated immediately. Very clean. We enjoyed it very much. The salad bar could of used a bit more, but I enjoyed a great tabouleh. The meat was really good, but pricey. If you want quality you need to pay for it.. Can't wait to go back.

Great Meat but needs a better buffet – I've been to Fogo de Chao and Brazazz and well I wish I could say one is better than the other. Fogo de Chao's meat is seasoned to perfection... The meat was great but I went to Brazazz prior to Fogo de Chao and well Brazazz had a great buffet that included everything from Oysters, Salad to Rice and Beans. Fogo de Chao only offers Salad. So if you're at Fogo de Chao solely for the meat, then you're at the right place but if you want an all together complete meal- Brazazz is the place to go.
