Surprised by the negative reviews!!! – About every month my girlfriends and I go out for a nice meal and coopers hawk was not only a good meal but a fun event! We got there and hour before our reservation and did the wine tasting first. Sheila was the girl presenting the wines, she was very knowledgable and welcoming. I love reds, but even the whites were really good. Sheila was very attentive and friendly without rushing us. Oddly enough when we were seated, her husband Paul was our waiter. he also provieded us excellent service. We ordered two bottles of wine and five appetizers. The Ahi tuna was excellent (we actually had two orders of it because it was so good). The calamari was the best I've ever had, not chewy at all. We also had some sort of southwestern eggroll served with a relish that was unique and delicious. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Sheila even stopped by to see if how we were doing. We felt welcome and had a great time. It was a great alternative to stuffy fine dining. Needless to say I would recommend this restaurant and will request sheila and paul in the future, They made a great dining expeience even more memorable!
Great – I took my dad here for Father's Day last year. We had a great experience. The wine, food, and service were excellent.
VERY BAD!!!!!!!!! – WE HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE FROM STARTING TO MAKE THE RESERVATION TO GOING THERE FOR DINNER. IT WAS A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION FOR MY MOTHER "76". i TOOK MY PARENTS AND MY FAMILY OF 4. i HEARD GOOD THINGS SO I WAS EXCITIED. BUT WHEN MAKING THE RESERVATION i COULDN'T MAKE IT FOR 8 SO i HAD TO DROP TO 6. FINE. THE DAY BEFORE I CONFIRMED MY RESERVATION THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT. I SAID THAT I SPOKE WITH A VAL. ERIC MANAGER GOT ON THE PHONE AND SUDDENLY SAW MY RESERVATION APPARENTLY TORI ON OF THE GIRLS TAKING RESERVATIONS COULDN'T READ. WE ARRIVED AT THE RESTURANT AND WERE NOT SEATED RIGHT AWAY EVEN WITH A RESERVATION. TOOK FOREVER TO GET A WAITER/WAITRESS. FINALLY MIKE THE WAITER SHOWED UP. WE ORDERED A APPITIZER DIDN'T ARRIVE UNTIL 1/2 HOUR LATER. TABLE NEXT TO US ARRIVED AFTER WE DID AND GOT SERVED FIRST. THEN WE ORDERED AND AGAIN FINALLY AFTER A WHILE WE GOT OUR DINNER. I ORDERED A CERTAIN TYPE OF POTATO WITH MY STEAK DIDN'T GET IT. SO I TOLD MIKE SO HE BROUGHT OUT THE CORRECT POTATOES AND THEN CHARGED ME FOR THEM. THE STEAK WHICH IS 25.00 WASN'T WORTH 5.00. THEY CAN'T CHARGE THE HIGH PRICES AND NOT DELIVER THE SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD. THE OWNER NEEDS TO TAKE A TRIP TO FLEMING'S STEAK HOUSE IN LINCOLNSHIRE TO REALLY KNOW HOW TO RUN A VERY EXPENSIVE RESTURANT THAT HAS IMPECABLE SERVICE AND FOOD. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
IVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD DINING EXPERIENCE – A FRIEND AND I WENT TO COOPERS HAWK FOR DINNER ON SATURDAY NIGHT . WE HAD APPETIZERS AT THE BAR AND THEN WERE SEATED FOR DINNER . THE LOCATION OF THE SEATS WERE IN THE DINING AREA BUT ON A LONG BENCH WITH A SMALL TABLE AND A CHAIR . SO PEOPLE WERE CLOSE TO US ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH DINNER THEY SAT A COUPLE NEXT TO US . THE MALE CUSTOMER CELL PHONE RANG VERY LOUDLY NOT ONCE BUT TWICE AND HE WAS USING PROFANITIES ON THE PHONE . THE SECOND TIME MY FRIEND SAID "THAT PHONE IS VERY LOUD "AT WITCH POINT HE SAYS "THEN FUC**NG MOVE " . MY FRIEND TELLS THE WAITRESS AND TWO MANAGERS APPROACH US AND THE PROBLEM CUSTOMER . OUR MANAGER ASKS US IF WE WANT TO MOVE ? WHAT !!! WE ARE ALMOST DONE WITH OUR MEAL AND THE 30$ BOTTLE OF WINE WE PURCHASED . THE PROBLEM CUSTOMER JUST SAT DOWN !
THE MANAGER THAT WAS TALKING TO THE PROBLEM CUSTOMER LEAVES AT WHICH POINT THE PROBLEM CUSTOMER SAYS TO ME "YOUR FUC**NG WITH THE WRONG NI**ER" I ASKED ARE YOU THREATING ME ? AND HE GOT UP AND LEFT FOR A FEW MINUTES
NOW WE SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AGAIN AND HE SAID HE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE CELL PHONE I SAID WHAT ABOUT THE THREAT HE SAID NOTHING
IT MADE FOR A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DINING EXPERIENCE AND I WAS DISSAPOINTED THE MANAGER ARIC DID NOTHING FOR US NOT EVEN A BREAK ON THE 150 $ BILL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
