Each of the customers who have left complaints have not revealed to us who they are. However, they are all genuinely welcome to contact us or the BBB anytime because it is important to us that they receive 100% satisfaction.

It is reasonable to assume that customers who do not communicate with us or the Better Business Bureau simply do not wish to be satisfied.
These guys are crooks! – They are by far the biggest rip off I have ever seen. Do not use these crooks. About a year ago they sold me an air conditioner for about double it's legitimate price (i knew i was getting suckered, but i didn't realize how badly). It looked used when they brought it, but I assumed it might be too cynical. NOPE. it broke down within a year. so I called them this week to try to get it fixed, and on warranty, cause i assumed there was a warranty. Well, the idiot repairman tried to tell me that every part was on warranty except the one that was broken. Yeah, right!. he didn't even open the thing to look and see what was wrong, but just went by my description and told me some sorry story about how this model is known to brake down like this. Then he adjusts the settings, and tries to charge me $118. these guys are crooks, trust me. In the end he doesn't charge me cause i told him he didn't do a damn thing, so he tries to give me some idiotic excuse for why he can't fix the air conditioner that he never looked at, saying the parts were not available. but that he could fix it for $500 later if i wanted (remember, it is not on warranty). I told him i didn't want his "help", and asked him to leave. It turns out that when he was adjusting the settings, he flipped a switch that turned the heat off, so the machine was just blowing air. This guy had no clue what he was doing, a total moron. never use this HeatCool, they are total crooks!!!
Extremely dubious service – I've been without main heat in my condo for two weeks now in January, during the coldest weather in decades. Heat Cool has given me conflicting, irreconcilable explanations for why the repair has taken so long. From what I can tell, they simply did nothing for a week, and didn't even order the necessary part until I called to inquire as to the reason for the delay. When they removed my heater, a week after they first came by, they improperly insulated the hole left behind, letting the freezing air gust right into my condo. I had to plug it up myself afterwards, and still have to run my taps at night to keep my pipes from freezing solid. They left a space heater, but it's inappropriate for the intended use - it trips the breakers in my condo, and would be too dangerous to run at night or while I'm at work anyway, again putting my plumbing in danger of freezing.
I don't believe any of the explanations I've been given by Heat Cool, and I regret not calling GE. (Heat Cool told me I'd made the right decision in calling them first, because GE wouldn't have the right part in stock. Two weeks later, Heat Cool still doesn't have the right part, doesn't know when it will arrive, and has left a gaping hole in my wall.) Not only is the quality of their work poor, based on their terrible covering of the heater space, but their service is unreliable and--as far as I can tell--dishonest.
There are some positive reviews of Heat Cool's work on this site, but I'm skeptical of them - they read like ad copy. One points out how many years the company has been in business; how many customers know exactly how long their heating repair company has been in business? I strongly suspect that the positive reviews were left by the company's employees. Having said that, I can only attest as to my own experience, which has been terrible.
Fraud! – I would never ever use them again! They tried to get me to buy a new furnace when there was nothing wrong with the one I have. The repair guy told me my furnaces gas valve was broken and it would cost $800 so he recomended getting a new furnace. I paid him $118 for him to come out and tell me that. I got a 2nd opinion and it turne out I did not need that part at all and it was only a jumper wire that was not installed. I would avoid at all costs unless you want to get ripped off!
ACCURATE, DEPENDABLE SERVICE FOR YOUR HOME AND SMALL BUSINESS AIR-CONDITIONING AND HEATING – Apparently I've got some weird, new-tech equipment called a GEO SYSTEM. I discovered that there are only 3 companies in the Chicago area that know any thing about it. One is 1/2 way to Rockford, another I had a hard time getting an appointment, but it turns out that so many other people in my building like HEATCOOL too that they're here nearly twice a week taking care of us all. They are professional and really know what they're doing. I am very happy to have found them. They are located in Chicago and have been in business for 51 years. I guess that's no surprise based on their knowledge and reliability.
THEY REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF – Been doing business with HEATCOOL for years and I've never been disappointed. Their techs are professionally trained and wear uniforms. They've been in business since 1956! See Bob Freson for window, wall and space heaters and John Freson for central equipment. They know ALL types of HVAC equipment .
