BEWARE - Do Not Pay for Food with a Credit Card – I wanted to write a note to alert everyone that might want to try this restaurant NOT to pay with a credit card/debit card. While it was an interesting experience to try different Indian foods, I paid with my debit card and noticed the restaurant charge placed on my bank statement was higher than what I had signed for. It turns up that the owner of the restaurant put the charge in for a larger tip. I had to go and confront him in person with the restaurant receipt and told him that I wanted the difference back. He was a little startled since he probably never thought someone would do that. He asked me three times if the issue would be settled if he gave me the difference. He then gave me the added tip that I had not signed for. Because of this experience I will NEVER go back.
First and foremost I would like to apologise for any inconvinience you experienced at our restaurant.
Secondly I would like to bring to your attention that the Indian Garden is now operating under New Ownership. We as part of The New Team at Indian Garden have taken upon ourselves to provide friendly and personlised service to you and all our esteemed guests.
I do hope that you will return and give us another opportunity to serve you.
Once I apologise on behalf o The Indian Garden Team.
Good food – I've been here several times and have always found the food to be extremely good. The wait staff has always been prompt and friendly & more than willing to answer questions. The manager does a good job of watchig the room and makes an effort to greet each table. The lunch buffet is a great value and a good way to sample a variety of tastes. Beware though, most of the food is spicy.
Lunch Buffet – The food quality and selection was decent. The service was very good but found out that the owner keeps the tips to himself instead of distributing it out to the waiters. I was not too crazy about the decor or the location either, so I do not think I will be visiting this place any time soon.
Schaumburg favorite serves up delicious Indian favorites in a comfortable, quiet atmosphere. – In Short
A diverse mix of ages and ethnic backgrounds sit in one of two rooms at booths or tables in this suburban favorite; soft Indian music and artwork add to the ambience. The expansive menu includes dishes like sizzling tandoor chicken, plus lamb marinated in yogurt, garlic and ginger; tender kebabs; and dal makhni, a complex lentil dish that packs heat and mixes well with the fragrant basmati rice. Naan (Indian flatbread) makes the perfect accompaniment.
Great for lunch! – I've ate here a few times... but only at lunch... so not sure what the dinner menu is like, but the lunch buffet is awesome! It's about $10 a person and has a great variety which changes daily. Highly recommend!! If you're a vegetarian, or during Lent & can't eat meat, you'll still have a great selection to choose from.
Fantastic – Wonderful food. The best indian restaurant I have eaten at in the USA.
