Up and Coming 2 top talents go check it out – the Red Room has 2 top chefs recetly brought on.. Exec Chef. Charlie Sinden formerly of nine75 and Sous Chef Chris Falcone recently of Epcots The Living Seas Restaurant.. Together this Duo leads a team of amazing cehfs to retransform The red Room into a place on the top list of ever visitor and denver native.. Go check it out.. The red Room Restaurant and Bar.. on colfax.. you wont be disapointed
Where am I? – Where can you get a beer for 5.75 on Colfax? The Red Room. Always enjoyed the colfax scene...it is a little edgier older and wiser than other areas of Denver.... And the cost of a beer was always reasonable...right? Not anymore...LODO has arrived. Although you won't get the idiot-bots that frequent the downtown...you definitely get the prices. I can think of better places to enjoy a beer on Colfax and will.
Avoid at all costs – Nowhere near as good as the old Red Room. Though the bar and crowd are unavoidably yee-haw most of the time, the sandwiches are decent. The servers are friendly, but if you want to get in the place enter through Colfax at all costs! The surrounding alley and "makeshift" back patio are always soaked with a pungent stench of urine.
Cool Atmoshpere, gorgeous ladies – I occasionally find myself at the Red Room on Weekend nights to kick back with some pals and cocktails and enjoy the night. The Red Room is a great place to do this, with a very laidback atmosphere, but also a good place to meet people. The drinks aren't outrageously expensive and they have pretty good food too. Definitely a good place to check out.
Delicious food and good cocktails – The Red Room has reopened! It's open 7 days a week 11am-2am. It has delicious comfort food and great prices. Its a great atmosphere, good for lunch and happy hour! try the fried mac and cheese, the tomato soup or the rabbi sandwich!! I highly recommend it!!!
Good beer, surprising food – The Red Room is a fairly comfortable place to grab a beer, even on a Friday night. The beer selection is nice, featuring a variety of Colorado breweries (Odell, New Belgium, et al.) as well as a few from abroad. The recent (I think) addition of a small pool table in back is a nice place (and cheaper than most, too).
The staff has always been courteous, friendly, and helpful. Bar-staff tends to double as wait-staff and are quick to remember you and your drink lending to the ambiance of a cozy neighborhood joint you can unwind in after work or to start off the weekend.
The real surprise, at least to me, was the quality of the food. Both the Red Room Chicken and the Crab-Stuffed Salmon was worth trying. Surprisingly tasty for "bar food." The Red Room may be slightly more bar than restaurant, but it's definitely not something to underestimate in the food department.
Grab a seat by the red-tinted windows and people watch with your drink (or dinner, for that matter).
This martini bar is one of the more popular stops on the Colfax Crawl. – In Short
This bar was spawned from the same group that opened Goosetown Tavern a couple miles east. And much like the Goosetown, it's packed to the gills. The blood-red, two-story lounge offers all the class and atmosphere of Denver's swankier martini bars--with none of the slick pretentiousness that seems to inhabit them. Regulars consist mostly of Capitol Hill residents, reflecting the neighborhood's energetic and varied demographic.
An all-around great neighborhood bar/restaurant! – Given the location of this place, its amazing how great the food and service are. I love that it isn't as pretentious as LODO, and its like 10x cheaper. Along with all the cool new places on 17th, this is an awesome stop for uptown dwellers. I hated how smoky the place was, but that isn't an issue anymore. Love it. Oh yeah....killer brunch on Sundays!!!
our favorite – great food at great prices!!! my wife and i visit atleast once a week. we've tried many other restaurants in denver, and for the same quality dining you'd pay twice anywhere else. the cosmos are the best in the city -- dave (bartender) makes them perfectly -- strong, not too sweet.
Great Food, Super Smokey – Service is great.. food is wonderful, we had the brie bruschetta, the spinach salad and the Red Room chicken, our waitress split everything for us, no extra charge. The food was WONDERFUL, didn't care for the sweet butter on the rolls, but rolls were good. The Red Room chicken is really top notch.
The place is super smokey, but other than that is was very very good..
