Nice Cantonese(or South End China) flavor – I had a good experience when I move to Michigan From Toronto, ON. It's decent Cantonese food which as they said. I had a Brunch today and very please. also the environment is not as good as Toronto, but acceptable, I believe it had a good reputation in local resident when I found there were still many customers in 3 pm. Nice service and resonable price. Recommended.

Best dim sum found in Grand Rapids!!!! – We've been looking for a somewhat local chinese place that would serve dim sum since our usual choice is to drive to Chicago. We've found the food at Wei Wei to be very good and authentic. The service was good and the staff was friendly. We were impressed by the size of the chinese market and the large selections that they have. We look forward to our next visit when we can try some of the duck, pork, and chicken hanging in the window!

Best authentic Chinese food in Grand Rapids area – I have been eating Chinese food, or at least what I thought Chinese food just about every sunday since I could sit in a high chair. My wife and parents-in-law are Chinese. My wife's parents like the traditional Cantonese Chinese food where my wife and I are a bit more "Americanized". Our first and many experiences with Wei Wei Palace have been fantastic. In fact, Wei Wei is the only place we like to go in Grand Rapids for Chinese food.

Not only can I call from my car for take-out and have it ready by the time i get there on the way home from work, but the food has totally opened my eyes to what Chinese food is. Since Ive been married Ive eaten in many big city Chinese restaurants and this place is just as good. (In fact we had our rehearal dinner there.) Fresh lobster, fish, crab, and many other special selections taken right from the tank before its cooked. I can't say enough.

They have all of the typical American Chinese restaurant favorites, but I urge you to venture into the more traditional or exotic. Some of my favorites (good for beginners) are the Walnut Shrimp, Cantonese pan fried noodles with chicken, Cantonese Beef tenderloin, and the lobster in garlic sauce. Don't forget the fresh Chinese Broccoli, too. If its a special occasion the Peking Duck is a real treat!

Give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.

It's worth it just to look at the dead duck in the window! – I showed up on Cinco De Mayo.. to pick up a carry out of sweet and sour chicken...This was about 7 pm and the place was DEAD..which is to be expected since probably nearly half the population of Grand Rapids is Hispanic...So they were elsewhere indulging in Mexican food.

While waiting for my carryout (5 minutes from phone call to pick up) ..I wandered past their fish tank...expecting little cute fishy..for display...No no... these fishes were for eatiin' as were the lobsters..

They have an extensive seafood menu for a chinese joint....from Jelly fish to grouper..to shrimps to lobsters..

The restaurant looks like it could seat 100-120..typical asian decor...and its' stuck in an asian marketplace/mall so the restrooms are shared with the mall outside of the restaurant from what I could tell..which might make it easy for a "dine and dash".

While waiting I looked across the cashier and over her shoulder were a couple of dead as doornail ducks swinging from a hook or two and probably part of a pig.. I did not see any Jellyfish floating about.

I grabbed my carryout and ate it....the chicken part was mostly cooked OK, the rice I think was underdone and tasted not like white rice...but white rice with cardboard or maybe a bit woody. The goo the sweet and sour chicken came with was fine... nothing special all in all, ..so I went to bed happy maybe a little bit MSG'd... If I have the time , I'd like to give this joint another try...prices ranged from 9-25 bucks ..depending on what species you were consuming.
