Great place for Mexican Food. the food was awesome and the help was very accomadating. Loved it if you dont know what you want just ask
Great place for not only mexican food but awesome american. This place is great. The staff is more than accomadating. The food is wonderful and Tito as for not real mexican are you kidding have you met the cooks. I love this place the owner is obviously not Mexican but very accomadating, and knows her Mexican food up and down ask her to help you order forget the menu. I love this place
The salsa tastes exactly like marinara sauce.... Because there are no truly authentic Mexican restaurants within a 50 mile radius of New Hudson, we have given this place several tries. It gets slightly better each time, but that may be due to familiarity setting in. Both my husband and I have found one item each that we like. I do like the beef tacos (although, they are by no means authentic). I have also tried the tostada and the cheese enchilada, neither of which were particularly good. The tostada had too many bland beans piled high, and the cheese enchilada is almost flavorless. The margaritas are good, though. While the restaurant is nice and clean, has a pleasant atmosphere, and very good service, the food is the furthest thing from authentic. Like other posters, we too, have lived and traveled elsewhere and enjoyed the real thing. I could let it all slide, and just accept it for what it is (the way you shouldn't compare carob to chocolate, for example), if it weren't for the salsa. It is marinara sauce, plain and simple. They even serve it warm. All in all, we'll probably be back (mostly out of desperation), not because it's great, and certainly not because it's "authentic".
This place was great great food and service. This place was great the food was awesome and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend this to any authentic mexican food fan. Check out the web site.
Best Mexican north of the Rio Grand, I travel for a living and this place is great.. Have eaten Mexican around the world this place compares to the worlds best Mexican in LA, Scots Dale, Etc. The People working there are real, we drive 50 miles to dine here and it is well worth the drive. I have taken clients there and they love it. The food is great and prices are low for the quality. I read the other reviews and must comment the people who don't like this place must spend to much time at Taco Bell as they don't know Mexican food. Homer
Horrible Mexican Food. My family stopped for dinner after soccer practice. I ordered a combination plate. The only thing I ate was the taco everything else was terrible. The salsa tasted like pizza sauce. My husband didn't eat most of his food either. When we commented on the taste of the salsa (which came already on some of the combination plate items) the waitress said she had received similar complaints. My husband and I agreed we both prefer Taco Bells food to this. We will not be returning.
Good food...great value!. Make sure to check out their website before you go, there are half off coupons you can print off. They have a big menu to choose from...I recommend trying the Don Juan fajitas, Botana and their raspberry margaritas!
Totally Agree - Worst Mexican Food Ever.
We totally agree. There are no real mexican resturants in the South Lyon area. We found this one on City Search and tried it out one night.
Not a single redeaming thing about the food. If your a family type person you may not mind the atmosphere but for us not having kids it was a zoo. Granted those with kids will enjoy the clowns but we wanted a nice quiet Mexican meal.
The food is generic and the most "unMexican" food we've ever had. We always give a "bad" resturant a second try but there was no point in going back.
We drove 45 miles to Del Ray in Lindon and it was worth the 90 miles round trip compared to this place.
Tito55. Nothing Mexican about this place. Worst case of fraudulent Mexican cooking I've had yet. Better off converting into a sports bar. Way too much tomato sauce and puree in several dishes. Not one authenic Mexican dish in their entire menu. Then again you can call just about any place a Mexican restaurant these days as long as they serve tacos, sour cream, and slap a lot of cheese on top of everything?
La Casa Del Rio Grande. I love this restaurant. It's the only one out in our area, I have found that you can order real shredded beef "Carne Asada" like in Mexicantown, Detroit. All the other restaurants just use hamburger in their tacos. They order from Mexicantown too for tamale I believe. Very cold beer & AAA+ on Margarita's too. I highly recommend this restaurant, even over "Border Cantina" Sitting out on the patio listening to Mexican music on a beautiful summer evening is great there. I am truly a customer and no one has paid me or asked me to write this up on them. I just love it there. I know Mexican food, I lived there for a year.
