BACK TO THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATION!!!! – How exciting to have an appointment back at the renovated spa! I love it. I thought that the original Darrington Drive spa was gorgeous and relaxing, but somehow they have managed to surpass that. The newly renovated spa is beautiful in every way. It has a warm home-like feel that just makes you happy you have gone through the doors. The technicians are still wonderful, at least for my massage and facial they were!
Everyone should go to see the new decor and experience the fantastic treatments and exceptional customer service! Congratulations to everyone involved with the renovations!!
best massage ever! – I have been twice to see Aaron at La Therapie: once for a relaxation massage and once for a therapeutic massage. Both were absolutely amazing! I felt completely comfortable with him, he sat me down ahead of time and told me exactly what his plan was. I have had many a massage and he is by far the best I've ever had!
Great Spa – Great friendly service and helpful when making and reminders for appointments.
Very talented staff. I've had facials, body wraps, pedicure and massages. I don't have a favorite person for facials, but my favorite massage therapists is Kelly. She has amazing hands and can either make you feel totally relaxed or fix the pain that is making you feel lousy. I'll never go to anyone else - she's that good!
I am a big guy and work out alot, so I like to get massage every so often but It's hard to find massage therapists that can go deep enough for me. I have had really good deep tissue massage at La Therapie from both Audra and Maxine. I don't use the other services but my girlfriend raves about this place. I definitely will be back.
Best therapists/Friendly Service/ GO !!! – La Therapie Dap Spa's temporary location is great! I can't believe how quickly they opened and how beautifully done it is. They still have the cheese and crackers and beautiful furniture/drapes. More importantly, the have the best therapists around!
From what I heard from the owner Nina, the new location is going to be even better than before, so great things to look forward to this summer but the temporary location still offers great services and the friendliest spa staff I have ever incountered. The hot stone massage was fantastic, I have had many hot stone massages but this was the best. Also, the estetician that did my facial was very knowledgable and took time with me that other spas never have. I just can't say enough about this place!
Even in their temp space, they still rule over the competition!
CONGRATULATIONS NINA AND HER STAFF!! – I just visited the new temporary location for the first time since LT Day Spa had to move. I can not believe how quickly everyone was able to get that fabulous place up and running. The beautiful drapes from Darrington Drive are even in the lounge!!! Even down to the cheese and crackers in the lounge, it was all there. My service was fantastic as always and I was so excited to be able to get the products I normally purchase. I don't normally use the showers so didn't miss that, but anyone who does can, I am sure, understand that it would be impossible to duplicate the spa on such short notice and will be impressed with wha they have been able to do. Can't wait until they are back in the old location, but will enjoy my treatments and the new location until then!!
Wait until the renovations are over to go! – I read great things about this spa on citysearch, so decided to go. They were very kind to me because I was late, and the staff in general seems very friendly. But I would definitely wait to go until the renovations are over, which should be in the summer.
The temporary location is a very cold office building. You certainly don't get the regular amenities a spa offers. I was having a massage and facial done, and I had to put all my clothes back on to change rooms between the 2 services, and then disrobe again for the next service. They could at least have robes there. There are no shower facilities or sauna facilities. I would have thought they would lower their prices during the renovation since customers don't get to benefit from their normal 5,000 foot place, but prices were the same. If I go back, it will definitely be post-renovation.
We are surprised by this review and are attempting to locate the client who might have had this experience. If in fact it was an actual client, we would like to apologize and invite him/her back. We do provide robes and it is our policy to offer them to every client who has multiple services or by request. Our technicians and services are held to the same high quality standards as when we were in our permanent spa, even though our location has temporarily changed. In the anticipation of our re-opening, we now have and are utilizing all new state-of-the-art equipment to assure client?s treatment results and utmost satisfaction. We greatly appreciate client feedback so that we can be sure we are providing the best possible experience for each one of our guests.
frustrating and bizarre experience – My experience with this spa is nothing short of frustrating. Despite setting appointments for two pedicures on a Saturday morning, and receiving a confirmation call a day or two before the appointment, my colleague and I found ourselves appointment-less before 9a. One of the spa associates informed me that I called and left a message on the voicemail canceling our appointments, and that our appointments were cancelled at my request. Although I explained that this was not possible (as I was without cell phone service on a business trip during that time period), the staff associate (I am not sure if she was the manager) did very little to investigate the situation or take efforts to reschedule our appointments.
I have been to quite a few spas all along the east coast, and I have never encountered a more bizarre scenario at a spa. Though I doubt this is a routine condition, the lack of accommodation, coupled with the strangeness of the entire situation was noteworthy enough for me to express my disappointment on Citysearch.
in a word: RELAXATION – i had never had a spa treatment before and a friend recommended i go to La Therapie just after getting some stressful news for some much needed relaxation. apon entering La Therapie, i knew my friend had, once again, sent me in the right direction! the lounge area alone made me feel relaxed! its a beautiful facility. my technician was very knowledgeable, and was intent on making me feel comfortable for my first massage. i would revisit La Therapie and recomend it to anyone looking for expertice in relaxation.
Extremely pleased! – Last year I bought my wife a gift certificate to this spa for Christmas. She just got around to using it recently and said she couldn't believe she waited so long. She came home raving about the sauna and massage she received. I definitely know what I'm getting her again this year!
