Horrid place to visit – Threrule of no less the 3 people at a 4 top table is stupid. All the 2 tops are small squat table and only one was left. We asked someone (who ended up being the manager) if we could sit at one of the 4 tops. She said she would go check. She ended up sitting at the end of the bar and having a glasss of wine. She was the one who could make the decision! While we were there we saw 3 two tops turned away bacause they could not sit at the 4 top table. That is not way to run a business. Our server was rude and not friendly. The food was good, but not good enough to go back. I warn all, "DO NOT GO HERE"

Best grilled cheese and soup – We have been a couple times for the grilled cheese and tomatoe basil soup for lunch. We had coupons, so it was $4 each. It's really good and fast in a nice atmosphear.

The bar was built and shipped from Ireland, bringing a piece of Irish charm to the Cities. – In Short
The slick brick home is next to a parking ramp, but inside, the pub could be ancient. Worn wood floors, tin ceilings and a heavy, ornate bar suggest history. It's no accident the place radiates such genuine Irish warmth. Keegan's was designed and built in Ireland and shipped to Minnesota. Irish music, Irish food and Irish staff (the owners are Irish-American) make this pub feel like the real deal for the throngs of loyal patrons.

1/2 Way to St. Patrick's Day Festival – Okay, so I know I posted a review about an event last time, but I can't let this one pass anyone by either. They are having another FREE event in a couple of weeks, and this time it is all weekend long! I found the information on their website, so I thought I would post it on here.

Keegan's is having this festival to celebrate the 1/2 Way to St. Patrick's Day "holiday." How great is that? They are also going to try to break a record for the biggest fish fried in Minnesota, on Saturday night. I talked to one of the bartenders about it, and he said they are donating the net proceeds from the fish fry to the American Diabetes Association. Now there is a good reason to celebrate... the money is going to charity! I thought I would jot down the band info. too.

A Most Unwelcoming Place – Visited Keegan's on a Sunday afternoon with one other person (party of two). The restaurant is only half full, but ALL the tables are marked "3 or more people". Grab a table in the front, in a group of tables. Wait for service. Wait some more. Finally a waitress comes over and says that we can't sit there because the "band" will be sitting there in 2 hours. I ask her where two people would be able to sit in the restaurant, (half full). Hmmm she looks around, and looks around some more. Basically there is NO PLACE for 2 people to sit in this half-full restaurant. This is the third time this has happened to me at Keegans. So we leave and walk down the street to The Times. Very welcoming. Bartender and waitress actually welcome us when we walk in and say "grab a table anywhere you'd like".

Comes up a bit short – There is nothing bad about this place, just that every positive is offset by a negative. Friendly waitstaff, but they lost the food slip...a 40 minute wait for the food. Food was good but overpriced. They have a good selection of beers, Stella on tap was a nice surprise, but the Guinness was served ice cold, with no time to settle. No proper Irish pub would serve it that way. Guinness understands this.

No luck on a second round of drinks, the waitstaff was overwhelmed with a load of pub crawlers. Unable to get a waitress, so after 15 minutes we gave up, and left.

This is an OK place to go with a date or small group of friends for something to eat, one or two drinks and then moving on. Not a traditional Irish pub where you would settle in for an evening of socializing.

Superb! – There was a wedding party at the place when we were there and we were about to turn around - there were over 100 people! But then the waitress quickly found us a table. The cheese tray is delicious and perfect just to snack with a beer. The pouch salmon is simply heavenly. The authentic atmosphere by itself is worth the trip. They also have live music almost every night, and traditional Irish music on Sundays, which I hope I can make time for in the future. After the wedding party moved on, the place is not too crowded, but we were there before the live music started.

Cool Irish pub – Pretty cool pub in a neighborhood with lots of other bars and restaurants. They poured great pints and have everything you'd expect at an Irish pub. I was there on a Thursday night and they had an Iirsh band playing (can't remember who it was but they were really good). I'll be back again soon.

Fun new place – I really enjoyed going here. I recommend the beef stew or the fish and chips. Those seemed to be favorites with our group. The service was friendly and at times really funny. I would definately come back.
