Unfried goodies – I’ve been a regular of kemp’s for years, I’ve always had fried food (The best in town), never bother to go over the menu for other item , I decided to try the grilled fish tuna Salad , (on my on my coworker's recommendation) it was great , cooked just right, the lettuce and the vegetables are crisp and fresh made to order. I guess I will take good look at the other Unfried items in the menu.
More than just GREAT SEAFOOD! – My family of six dined at Kemp's on Friday night. It was a struggle to get my whole family to go, due to the "non-seafooders" of the house. But their mind was quickly changed once they recieved their food. We all know that Kemps has great seafood, but just to let ya'll know they have great BBQ too! My son and daughter ordered the BBQ plate, which comes with a homemade BBQ sauce.. I must say it was delicious (I made them share!) So to those who aren't Seafood lovers, just remember that Kemps has also a great non-seafood menu and GREAT BBQ~
Best Service – We had our family gathering yesterday so made reservation at Kemp’s, the management was very nice and accommodating, we got there our table was ready and setup, we had a great server, the food was great everybody had good time.
We will definitely had our office Christmas party at kemp’s.
Still the Best sefood Around – We had dinner last night me and my family at kemps, First time since they switched back to full service, which I like better so do my parents, the place is different more open and inviting it was full we had to wait for a table, but it was well worth it, the seafood was better than ever, my parents had their usual fried oyster platter they were very happy, the service was as good as it was before, the prices are just right. After all we had a great time.
Sad to see the results – We had dinner last night for only the 2nd time since the remodel, and couldn't help but remember what it used to be like dining there. The parking lot was almost empty at 5:35pm on a Thursday, which seemed eerie for this place. Once inside I couldn't help remembering ship hull decor and great bar area where we sometimes opted to dine instead of waiting 15-45 minutes for a table. Food was OK, service was fine, but except for the name and address it's a different restaurant. I sincerely wish them luck, but won't be surprised if they don't make it. Too bad. This place was a landmark.
Great lunch spot – Went there for lunch yesterday we were in and out in a very reasonable time, I must say that I had the best fried oysters in town and the prices are very reasonable will Definitely be back with my family this time.
Best Food and Service I have had!! – I have been a customer at Kemp's for atleast 6 years. I know that the inside has changed, however the food is just as good. I have never had such great seafood in my life. The service is excellent and very fast. I will definately be back there very soon!!!
Its worth the drive!! – This past weekend my husband and I drove from Wake Forrest to come eat at Kemps. Even though I'm not crazy about driving that far just for dinner my husband convinced be it would be well worth it! I hate to say it but he was right! I have never seen so much food piled on one plate in my life! Everyone was very attentive to us, thats what you call service with a smile! My only con is I wish they would open one closer, but that won't stop me from going back...Its worth the drive!
Still the Best – I went to kemp's seafood last night and it was The best seafood i have had in a while.
Can't wait to travel this way again – I travel a great deal and try to find pleasant surroundings when I stop to dine. Kemp's has great curb appeal and the interior decor was most pleasant.
The service was great. I was treated as though my patronage was important to everyone who worked there.
My only unpleasant moments came when I overheard not one but two seperate customers complaining about having to pay and extra dollar for a baked potato. People, please! If you can't afford to pay adollar for a baked potato, do the rest of us a favor and go to McDonalds.
