Totally awesome food and fantastic service – I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Not only do they have phenomenal Thai food, but they also have a warm and pleasant decor and terrific customer service. As a relatively new but very frequent customer, the people there who have come to know me by name always warmly welcome me and ask me how I am. They even remember and know my favorite things to order and special ways I enjoy certain items being prepared. They have the best Pad See Eew on the Eastside, topped with amazing spring rolls, delicious and rich red curry, and wonderful homemade lemonade. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. They're laid back but still a very nice place to have a business lunch or a sweet dinner for two. They combine the best of both worlds--great service and great food!

Best one in Kirkland so far – Since we moved to Kirkland, we've been trying to find a decent Thai place with no luck. We finally found one that fit the bill. It's good food (not great - for great Thai food go to Pen Thai in Bothell), moderately priced ($10-12 per plate) in a decent atmosphere. It's not Seattle-quality or Seattle-priced Thai food, but it'll work.

Delicious food but easy on the spiciness – My family has been eating at this great Thai restaurant for over 20 years. It's been consistently good. Like another reviewer said, the flavors are distinctive from one dish to another (not always the case in other Thai restaurants), portions are good, service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Reading the handful of negative reviews, I can only guess those customers got unlucky because I've been going there for so long and I'm picky about Thai food being authentic. Nothing beats this place for me.

However they do go very easy on the heat, so if you love a lot of heat you should go for five stars.

Really good Thai food for years – I haven't been to Thai Kitchen for a little while so when I went back I didn't know how the food would be. It was very good and I seem to remember it being very good last year too. I need to go back more often. Good service too.

Bland Food + No Heat – 1. No heat!! You know, that would have been ok because these things happen. But they didn't even tell us when we walked in. I had to ask the server to turn up the heat and she told me that their furnace had broke that morning. With two small kids in two, it would have been nice to know before unbundeling them so we could go somewhere else. Or maybe that was their master plan to make us not leave.

2. They sat us way in the back. After we complained, they just happen to mention there were portable room heaters at another table. Hmm.. why didn't you seat us there in the first place??

3. We ordered the tempura. But what we got were vegetables with onion ring batter. This was NOT tempura. If I wanted onion rings, I would have gone to TGI Fridays.

4. I ordered something that was described in the menu as Tofu with basil and garlic (without spice). What I got were some steamed vegetables with barely flavorful tofu. "No spice" doesn't mean "No Flavor". I never did taste any garlic.

5. Lastly, they offerered us some free tea to warm us up. This was nice, but it was just warm water. There was barely a hint of tea flavor. But it did keep my hands warm holding the cup I guess.

All in all, it was a horrible experience. I left hungry and cold. I left a tip at the end because I always do, but now I regret it.

Thanks for expressing your concern. For the 1st time in 15 years, our commercial heating system broke & it was very challenging to find someone to come and look at this system on a Sunday. We wish you had asked for Management if you were disatisfied with the food and circumstances and were shocked to hear that this was expressed publicly during such a crisis. We offer our apologies for your experience. But, we must respond to your feeling that there is a "Master Plan" to deceive customers or to attempt to keep you there. We would not be in business all these years if we deceived our customers. The good news is that we are open for business and Take Out is available. We are grateful to our customers who come in to dine here in show of support. We are deeply grateful that many understand our predicament and are standing by us. We hope to have the heat fixed soon and in the meantime, thank you again from our family for bearing with us.

Best Thai Food on the East Side – Thai restaurants have invaded the East Side over the past couple of years. Many of the newer restaurants are corporate run. They offer nicely styled restaurants but often the food is mediocre at best and service is lacking.

The Thai Kitchen in Kirkland is one of the first Thai restaurants on the East Side and remains family owned. The quality of the food is consistent and the wait staff is very dedicated to making your dining experience very enjoyable. When entering the restaurant you feel the genuine Thai hospitality at work here.

I eat lunch here most often. I really enjoy the lunch combination's. For about the same price as a premium hamburger at one of the fast food chains you can get a delicious and freshly made meal that is much better for you.

For dinner portions seem more generous then some other area restaurants and pricing is inline with other ethnic style restaurants. My family has never been disappointed or left feeling hungry. Its a great place to feed a family.

Can't belive high ratings! – Went to this restaurant lured by great reviews on Citisearch. Don't know what went wrong, ether new management, or perhaps chef took a day off, but everything we ordered, soup, pad thai, shrimps, appetizers, everything was beyond bad, it was unpalatable. They even managed to screw up "home made" lemonade... I didn't even know that it's possible to make bad lemonade, before I tried their version. They did replaced the lemonade with tea on our request, and the tea was fine. The rest of the food we just left on our plates and went home hungry.

Oh so tasty Thai, authentic in Kirkland – Went here for an authentic Thai meal, it was tasty and affordable. Had a couple of boozy drinks and the total bill was $30 for my wife and I, pretty decent, and very filling. The place is cute and very authentic, and all and all delicoius Thai food in the heart of Kirkland!

Excellent food, great service – Been getting food at Thai Kitchen in Kirkland for the last couple of years (usually to go). The food is great and the service is too. The Bangkok Chicken (3-4 stars) and Chicken Satay are my favorites. Great selection of curries. Solid Thai food on the Eastside.
