PLEASE CHANGE THE MENU BACK P.F. CHANGS – My family and I ate at the Lombard Changs last week. As soon as we were seated, I noticed that they had changed the menu. I asked the waiter if they could still make my favorite dish, Dali Chicken. The waiter said no. Then I asked to speak to the Manager and he also said that they could no longer make the Dali Chicken. Pf Changs used to be my favorite restaurant until they changed the menu and took my favorite dish off the menu. Put the Dali Chicken back on the menu or at least offer the dish as an off menu item. I recently wrote corporate and they offered the Kung Pao Chicken, I don't want that!!!!! Put Dali back on the menu, Thanks.
A lot invested in Decor at P.F. Chang's, and little on food – God, I have had it with Chain restaurants. There's so many of them, but so few good ones. P. F. Chang's has a lot invested in it's decor... wall designs and fancy replicas of chinese architecture with a hip post modern (Red Light-esque decor). But the owners have completely neglected what is of paramount importance in a restaurant- the food! The dishes are hackneyed and uninspired, and need a total makeover. The wonton soup had no flavor, and the kung pao chicken was tasteless. It may be too much to ask the owners to emulate Shanghai Terrace in the Peninsula Hotel. They're on another level. But i have a suggestion: Go to Yen's on Clark Street in Chicago- they're food is basic chinese- but done well. Even Red Light, which is not superb, is MUCH BETTER than P. F. Chang's. Please, please overhaul your menu. We, in the suburbs, deserve better restaurants!
Wait Is Long But.. – Wait It Out Its Well Worth It, Go 4 It.... Its A Winner!
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites. – In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.
