Wonderful products that I have been using since their line consisted of only a handful of options. I often go to the Berkeley location because it's a little more quiet. Either way, these girls know their stuff.
Try going here on weekdays, otherwise, as my girls said, it's like going to clubs on a weekend -- purely for the working class. That's the only time they can possibly go out and let loose because they're working the next day afterwards. Whatever. It's just so very crowded on weekends, that's all.
Anyway, it's a great place to have your eyebrows waxed and tinted for one, they really do a superb job at that. Some women bring in their kids while having work done, which I think is a bit much. Oh well.
Good brazillian wax – I have been getting brazillian waxes from them for a few years now and I've always had a pretty positive experience. Anyone who has gotten a brazillian wax knows how...embarrassing...the process is, but the staff has always made me feel so comfortable. They make it as quick and painless (it still hurts, don't get me wrong) as possible. Very professional and friendly. They are also very clean (always wash hands, wear gloves, don't double dip spatula in wax...). Some times they miss a few hairs and I have to touch up a bit at home, but it has never been a big deal. There is a lot of pressure to try on makeup and buy products, but I'm guessing they work on commission, so you can't really blame them. All and all, good place.
Don't Wax Here – I don't suggest waxing here. My last brow arch left me with burns on each eyebrow, as well as eyebrows that were totally mishapen. When I asked the technician to fix the obvious hole left on one side of my brow she said she was going to "let that part grow in." What?! My brows are still burning more than five hours later. Seriously, go to a proper salon to have your waxing done. It's worth the extra $$.
Love this cute make-up shop! – This Benefit store is pretty small, but has an amazing selection of their products, and everything is neatly organized and easy-to-find. There is a big make-up counter for trying on products, and the staff will help you choose if you want(however, one artist applied this bronze eyeshadow on me that was definitely not the best). The makeup is quality and lasts a long time: I am a big fan of the Hoola bronzer, Moonlight highlighting cream, and uberglossy lip gloss. I also got my eyelashes tinted here once and the experience was great - my lashes were naturally dark for 6 weeks! Although there is barely any parking around here, the location is cute and by lots of other shops and restaurants.
A beauty boutique that gives good face, offering consultations, salon services, premium products and no-hassle service. – In Short
These glamorous Bay Area boutiques offer something shoppers can't get online: free skincare and color consultations and a variety of salon services. Make an appointment a few days ahead for facials and full-body hair waxing or walk in for quick fixes such as eyebrow shaping or "lip plumping." Some of the most popular products include BeneTint, Kiss Me sheer lavender lip gloss and Kitten Shops New York sparkling power in a puff.
Love the product, might as well order online – Benefit has great products, but over the years their customer service has drastically fallen off. Most of the girls seem busy chatting and barely acknowledge you. I've had both my brows and bikini waxed there once, but that will be the last time-I was assured on the phone that all of the girls were experienced and knowledgeable, but I'm pretty sure the girl who did mine was fresh out of beauty school, or high school....
love the products, this location not so great – I love Benefit and have tons of their products. This location however has yet to impress me. They always are so so busy and the staff is less than thrilled to help you. I never feel like I'm getting much customer service and always leave feeling frustrated and rushed.
not my fav – love benefit, but this location is not the best. The staff was far from friendly. If all you need is a product quickly then it's fine, but it's not what I've experienced at other benefit locations.
great cosmetics, so so boutique – Although i love Benefit products I was disappointed by this boutique. Their staff was far from friendly, obviously very busy but just didn't take the time to feel like they appreciated anyone that was buying the products. I've been to several benefits boutiques as well as counters and was not impressed by this one.
