Tips for Cafe Javasti

Great Coffee and Food, Long Lines ( sometimes ). It's true that Javasti is considered the sorority girl employement center...don't know whether that's intentional or not. I've always had good service, and the food is great.

The main issue with the service is that the customers are chatting in the ( long ) lines instead of making decisions.

Must be a Seattle thing...

Awfully conistent terrible customer service. The service here is known as "frat-like", they have certain people that they know and like and everyone else they give horrible service to. We went there for almost 6 months and everytime we went, they acted as if we were from somewhere else. It has so much potential as a nice friendly neighborhood spot but they ruin it. The coffee also takes a very long time and at times they forget to make it. My family and I prefer going to the shack at the Chevron station where the service is much better.

Big train= good time slurping!. What a little gem this place is! The staff was very friendly and gave prompt service. Ryan whipped up a delicious savory crepe for me in minutes. I also tried their signature drink "Big train" which they said was their version of a frappachino. After tasting it, I think a frappachino is a sad little watered down imitation of the fabulous "Big train"! Good seats by the window for people watching, and parade of happy dogs coming out of the grooming shop next door, low lighting and ambient music. Check them out next time you're in Mapleleaf!

Good latte & delicious pastrie, crepe. I love coffe, especially lattes, but I am really picky about it. Two of my friends, one is latte lover and the other one is cappuccino lover, recommended this place. Warm greeting, and staffs remember you and what you drink. I go there every Saturday morning and have latte with either scone or muffin. Just baked ones, not too sweet, very soft. My freind usually orders cappuccino and banana nut crepe. They are delicious.. On my way work during weekdays, if I have extra time, I drive there and grab a latte and a muffin. They offer Wi-fi.

Excellent coffee, best scones in Seattle. My husband and I have been regulars at Javasti for a couple of years now. We started going for the consistently excellent lattes, but then we tried the scones. In the yummy, flaky, buttery scone category, these can't be beat. They're just amazing!! The crepes, too, are always a nice treat, and add to that the friendly service and rotating art - and you'll soon see why we keep coming back here!

a gift to Maple Leaf. I'm so glad we're in walking distance from this cute place with some of the best, the smoothest coffee I've had in Seattle and very good crepes. The concrete floor can get a little noisy but you can ignore that and look at the consigned art hanging on the deep red walls or people watch.

Great coffee, Great staff. I've lived here my whole life and in most of Seattle's neighborhoods and this is my favorite place for coffee. The staff is always friendly and efficient but with no attitude. The quality bar is high and the food items are great. I recently moved from Maple Leaf to Wallingford Greenlake and just can't stand a certain place that starts with a Z. Maybe now I need to drive 3 miles North every morning for a decent cafe experience but it's worth it, I hope they stay around for long time!!

one from column A .... a really great combo of above-average coffee and a terrific crepe menu. the location is a big plus, too, for those times when Maple Leaf folks don't feel like running to Capitol Hill or Greenlake for a brunch-time fix.

BEST COFFEE!!!. This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or just coffee!!! Cafe Javasti has the best coffee in town. They make awesome lattes and you should see the size of their crepes!!! And OH MY GOD-the SCONES!!! Marionberry Scones, freshly made. Awesome sandwiches too. The staff is super and always remembers you when you come in...or at least they try. It can be packed on the weekends so give yourself time.
