Worst place to go out. – I was at the Trump World Bar on Feb. 27,2010. I must say that if my friends hadn't already paid to go in, I wouldn't have even gone in because the lady at the front door was extremely rude. I am coming to generate profit for her place and she is in no way whatsoever unprofessional.

The place is extremley small and no ambient whatsoever yet they still charge $20 admission. The staff is extremley rude and almost all the people that frequent look as if they could be sex offenders. You can visit any nightclub, be it Pacha, Webster Hall, Studio 34 where the place is at least 10 times larger, the drinks are 3 times cheaper and the ambient is incomparable yet the admission is still $20.

I got 2 bottles, Absolute Vodka, at $380 each. My friend was outside and wanted to go meet him with his girlfriend, I told the lady not to charge him and just put his admission on the tab, she said to me "go inside or I swear I will kick you out". Wait a minute, Im spending a total of 800 dollars that night at your venue and this is how you treat your customers?

Please please please do not go here if you want to actually have a good night and not regret going out.

World BORE – I Recently visited this place, i must say it SUCKED, it was filled with Ugly Snobby Rich People, with a combination of Trashy people trying to get with the Snobs.. the place was TINY, overpriced, and PACKED Def not going to this place again, Maybe if i wanted to stick up a trust fund baby then i'll consider going back

Fun, elegant and polished staff make it a must-return – Yes, yes, of course had to have the World Cocktail after seeing it on "Three Sheets" and it was fun. Nice professional staff, lovely furnishings, a decent shrimp cocktail and some liquid gold made for a very pleasant Friday evening stop.

Stirs up a cocktail with the Midas touch. – The Scene
Be warned: Donald Trump's bar near the United Nations doesn't soar above the city or ooze with international intrigue. The beige, sparsely populated room holds square lobby chairs and a central round, outward-facing banquette with wannabe-funky, stalagmite-like tables. Downbeat house music and a TV screen broadcasting the night's game fill in the mismatched picture, while a gracious staff waits on suited and casually dressed guests.

The Draw
What the bar lacks in ambience, it makes up for with a knockout drink list. Most remarkable is the $50 World Cocktail--topped with liquified gold. The bartender personally comes out to mix the delicate, port-scented blend of Remy XO, white grape and lemon juice, Pineau des Charentes fortified grape juice, Veuve Clicquot and a 23-carat floater, which leaves your lips sparkling. If that's too rich, pick a drink from the $12 menu of standards and house inventions; the mai tai tastes superbly fresh.

A Pleasant Surprise – When first invited out with friends to the World Bar, I have to admit that I was not necessarily looking forward to the evening. I was expecting ridiculously overpriced drinks in a stuffy pretentious place. Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised to finding myself having one of my most enjoyable evenings out in a while (and one of the best Manhattan's too!). The staff is unbelievably accomdating even though our party was nearly 3 times the size of our reservation. The drinks were superb and the big screen to watch The Apprentice made it all the more fabulous. I will definitely be returning!

Great evening – I made a trip over tothe World Tower to view a friend's apartment and decided to have a drink before returning home. Bret - is an exceptional bartender. Great drinks - excellent conversation in a stark and clean environment. The bar was not heavily populated - and that is exactly why I will return (and bring a room full of friends). I can't remember the last time I enjoyed myself so much in a Manhattan bar - having an educated and pleasant exchange with equally enjoyable people. This is a bar for "grown ups" - no "20 somethings" screaming over terrible music and spilling drinks / falling down all over the place.

The bar is perfect for private parties and conversations. Highly recommend for before / after dinner drinks with family, friends, colleagues and associates.

expensive cocktail – World cocktail - It was interesting as the bartender explained what was in it and he would make it right in front of you. They open a bottle of champagne for this which suprised me and the edible gold was a nice touch. Still kind of expensive for 50 dollars though.

Classy and Hip – The semi-private upstairs loft is very cool and the ambience - sweet! Wonderful upscale crowd lends itself to having a terrific time. It's a hip place - we had a blast!

Beautiful, grown-up lounge. Elegant, sophisticated and expensive. A nice place to go and relax. Attractive, upscale crowd. Not hideously expensive if you don't order "The World's Most Expensive Cocktail."
