Great Salon will be back. – Really love this place. They have something for everyone there. I had a haircut from Astrid. I walked in there with my hair all frazzled and she was able to eye ball it and suggest what would look good on me. I went with her suggestion and am really happy with my new hairdo. She is very knowledgeable and well worth the price of the haircut.
AMAZING! – I went to Tirra Salon and Spa for my first time recently and I have to say it was the best experience I have had with my hair in a very long time! It's so hard to find a good stylist now a days let alone an amazing one! I found Emily. She was very patient with me and knew just what to do with my hair. Her sense of style matched mine so it didnt seem to hard to get the right look. The service was terriffic from the moment I walked in until I left. The girls at the front desk went above and beyond to get me what I needed and to make sure I was 100% satisfied with my first visit. I'Ve been to other salons and i hafe to say they aren't always so friendly but this was different. Props to the owners/managers. I will recommend this salon to anyone! I definately will be coming back to Tirra to get my hair done again and for other services in the future.
I heart Tirra Salon – I have been to tirra a few times for a variety of services. Im kind of an aveda snob =) I mean that in a good way. Not only did I find their salon clean but definately up to the standards of the aveda concept. I am one who appreciates being acknowledged when I walk in a spa and every time I have gone there I have felt welcomed - unlike some other places I have been to in the city. If you love the aveda product, and you are looking for a super nice place to be pampered, Tirra is definately my choice and it should be yours too.
Great Salon! – I have been going to Tirra for a few years now and I must say that this is a great salon. They are always so nice and accomodating to everyones needs. Beyond the great service and awesome staff, they really make it feel like one big family there. They strive to give you the treatment that YOU want. The owners truly want everyone to have a great experience and make sure that the staff is on top of things to make that happen. If you want pure relaxation and to be taken care of as soon as you walk in the door, then go to Tirra and experience it for yourself! Keep up the good work Tirra!
Not an Aveda concept ! – I have never seen anything like this. I know how Aveda wants to present themselves and I really feel that you don't get that message at Tirra Salon and Spa. I have been there a few times and have come to realize that there are so many better Aveda places than this one. Sure, I have had a couple of good services done from good staff members, but why are they working at a place like that? I have many times felt rushed, cheated on in services, poor comunication and unsanitary. That is not an Aveda concept Salon and Spa! You really wonder if they are there to meet the clients satisfaction or just to make the bucks. I really recommend for Aveda people to go somewhere else since you can get a much better service, meet more proffessional staff and feel comfortable in the inviroment. This place is not to recommend to people that want to feel satisfaction. I feel very dissapointed that there are places like Tirra Salon and Spa.

I want to know what we could have done or could do to make it better for you? I apologize on my behalf and on behalf of Tirra Salon and Spa for your bad experience. We want nothing more than to have a client leave the salon unhappy, or feeling rushed and i would like for you to come back and have more of a relaxing and professional experience, the one you were looking for.
Most unfriendly place I have done business with TO DTAE!! – Snotty, not even a good enough word to describe the service we as a company have received from them
We do from time to time give out gifts for our clients, and even in light of a lot of potential business they are too busy, and to rude to take time. Gosh how will they treat people who show up there, WAIT.. read the reviews not so good as I see it
PS save yourself time & grief and go else ware!!!!
Not as good as the Review. – I have some facts and personal opinion regarding this salon.
I was there 15 min early before my appointment
The staff was not ready until 15 min late, that is when I finally called the front desk to let them know.
Unless you stand up and say something, they will not care.
I only lost 15 min, but could have lost more.
There is a definite punctuality issue.
My hair cut was done in 20 min including shampooing. The designer says there is not very much that can be done with male hair cut.
Perhaps she does not know what she CAN do? Especially knowing what the result was way below my expectation. I will never do this, but-supper cut is where you should go for such result.
She asked, is it ok? I didn?t know what to say?.balancing the length of my back hair was the only think that I could ask her to fix-others, I was too scared to ask, since I don?t know that the result is going to be.
Whoever was answering the call was not so nice.
Lost $40. I bought a Aveda Shampoo and a conditioner, just to make me feel better.
When the designer was cutting my hair, she had some parking issues, some other staff came and started to talk?talk?talk? I mean, who gives a damn about me. I don?t care about your car, nor what you think of it. If you are going to stand next to me and talk to each other while appointment, why not just go out and have a cup of coffee?
It was my first visit. The review point 9.9 is just not realistic.
It surely will be the last visit that I will make.
Who the F*$& is answering the phone? – They say you can tell how good a place is just by first impression. True to some extent, and definitely true when I called them. Being a first time customer wanting information, the person who picked up the phone on 4/12/07 around the 1PM time frame proceeded to laugh and smirk at my questions as if I should've known the answers already. I asked about pricing and packages and they had no idea what I was talking about. I mean, I'm sure when you walk in it's a nice place. But WTF, all I wanted is for some answers to my questions and not some snotty know it all bi*%$ who thinks she's miss know-it-all to answer a couple questions. Hell, I could be Donald Trump or Oprah wanting some spa treatment and whoever that was talked to me like that??? I'd march right in, demand for the manager and have the ENIRE FACILITY SHUT DOWN ALL BECAUSE OF THAT WOMAN. Guess I'll take my business elswehere. At least other establishments took the time to answer my questions and didn't laugh at me once.
great salon! – I have gone to Tirra for about three years now and would recommend it to anyone. Astrid and Kate work on my hair and it looks great every single time. The people are so nice and the services are excellent!
Hair like you'd never believe!! – I was in desperate need of making my hair healthy again and I stumbled upon Tirra. I am not a big fan of having my hair done by others but when Kate did my hair-I had to go back a second time. She treated my hair with care and listened to my needs. My hair never felt so good with the Aveda products that she used. The staff also treats you with respect and as if you have been coming in for years! I will be making another appointment for the 3rd time!
