The meditation/writing class held every saturday at Yogaschelter is a wonderful experience.
Jennifer leads the group in a guided meditation ,where minds are slowed down and quieted . Then we pick up our pens and the writing flows ; what is emerging in my life, what am I grateful for , what do I love ...
Then participants read into a safe space of open compassionate listening . How does it feel?
Inspirational , warm , safe , loving and most of all affirming of each individuals unique abilities ...
Thanks first to Jennifer and all my fellow meditators for creating such a safe space .
I recommend this class !
Great place to grow yourself!. I have been learning and becoming with Jennifer at Yoga Schelter for the past 7 years. It has been an extraordinary experience. As in "extra-ordinary..." Jen always adds to the ordinary just a bit more to create space for you to be just a bit more extra in all do and in all you are. I have learned to dive into myself and fully explore and to trust. I have always been diving but now since having been a part of this community I am safer and affirmed in a new way to carry on and on. Yoga is so often depicted as a "work-out" to me and what I have learned here is that yoga is indeed wonderful for your body's strength no doubt, however the "work-in" is so lovingly taught here, and practiced regularly. This process of learning to live in the questions of my mind and body is awesome!
GREAT WRITING CIRCLE!!!.
Come to Jennifer Schelter's Writing Circle on Saturday Mornings! It is a "GREAT way to start your week" said one participant! In the past few months I have written more poems than ANY other time in my life! My writing with Jennifer has been the easiest, most inspiring, most uninhibited writing in a truly positive environment I've ever experienced! It is magical, it is invigorating! We do a short meditation exercise and then write --
then share laughter, tears, and heartfelt discoveries with an ever-changing group of participants of all ages. I always leave happier, more connected to others,
more connected to myself, and more aware of the beauty and variety of language!
l love being there each week and believe you will too!
You can drop in as your schedule allows, but I'll warn you -- this class is wonderfully addictive and good
your head, heart, and soul! It inspires YOUR voice as a writer!

A True Sanctuary. Jennifer has an amazing ability to connect with everyone she meets and this really makes a difference in the time you spend at a yoga class. For me, it's a refreshing way to be grounded again. A reminder to no let the day to day crap we deal with bring us down. It's a wonderful treat for your body and mind.
