When In Buckhead, Avoid! – As a Thai food fan, I thought I would give this place a try. I thought it was suppose to be Thai, boy was I wrong. I requested all food items Thai hot! It was more bland than a can of Chung King. Confusing service, and parking.
Try the SPICY GARLIC SCALLOPS, it's a WINNER!! – Singer John Mayer recommended this restaurant in a magazine for good, spicy food. He was 200% right! The spicy garlic scallops had a good heat and excellent flavors. A bit too much sauce (I got my food "to go"), but who cares?! It was really tasty! The drinks are also great. Plenty of parking (in front) and yes, these prices cannot be beat.
Fantastic Lunch – Wonderful Thai food and a great value. Lunch portions are big and the price is low. The beef salad is a little disappointing but they have the best Pad Thai. The house soup is a nice blend of spicy and savory without being too filling. You won't visit just once!
User-friendly Thai food in a casual-but-chic setting makes for happy diners in Buckhead. – The Scene
Just off Buckhead's main drag, the second locale is proving as popular as its big sister in Virginia-Highland. The drab exterior, fronted by a parking lot, hides a warm, elegantly decorated interior. Walls are pale tangerine with nooks that house handsomely carved wooden statues. A sushi bar in the back and a small front patio round out the space. Service is well-intentioned, but sometimes unpolished.
Thai standards, toned down for American palates, dominate the menu. Green beans give prik king a nice crunch, but the one-note spicy sauce is disappointing. Wings of Angel, de-boned chicken wings stuffed with shrimp, chicken and spices, are chewy and flavorless. But nam sod, an appetizer of seasoned ground pork served with cabbage leaves, explodes with ginger, chili and garlic. Roasted duck in red curry, served in a pot over an open flame, is succulent and juicy, nestled in a luscious, sweet curry sauce.
Game Over – If you are into Thai or even ANY oriental food, this is the place to go. If you are counting all your pennies or rolling up in your Benz, it doesn't get much better than this. This may sound like a anonymous plug by the owner but if i am ever down in the dumps, i can ALWAYS count on a smile coming out of this restaurant. Do yourself a favor - try this Restaurant - it is more addictive than smoking, drinking or sex.
